Addendum - do only put a large splash or elderflower in the Pimms - still needs topping up with something non-alcoholic as well - lemonade, sparkilng water?
Lily I was at home. Can't blame anyone but myself.
Well done Woody.
Beware of Cephalaria Gigantea. It's a wonderful thing but sets millions of seeds, every single one will germinate and within a nanosecond they send down a tap root which puts marestail to shame.
Really great result Woody - glad it was such a success You all have such lovely gardens to share, and great to make so much for your charites too. Looking forward to the next one Today is the day to put your feet up (find another bench) and enjoy
Today is the last exam in the Chicky household. Feels like a marathon six weeks. Fingers crossed and good vibes for one last time - as this one is an important one (its the subject Chicklet wants to study at Uni, so top grades required).
Good morning all Went AWOL last evening - OH and I felt we deserved supper out so popped to a neaby pub - lovely food but service veeeeeeeeery slow! 'Relaxed pub atmosphere' fine in the pub bit, but not in the food bit - oh well, it's walking distance and another time if we're in a hurry we'll just make a bit of a fuss - but around 30 minutes between finishing main course and getting our pudding??? Just as well we like talking to each other
Fidget I think I must have killed off the cephalaria - no sign of it A few things got a bit neglected what with broken wrist last autumn and Pa's demise this spring .. but it would be great in the sunnier bed I have plans to create this autumn
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

Great Finland pictures Liri - looks idyllic
I'll put a pic of the cephalaria on. Currently eight ft high and covered in bees.
Is it only that time?
I've put a line of washing out already. Time for coffee I think.
