Love it Winter. With the top down you'll be able to get huge plants and trees in there.
Been busy moving plants from a bed that's going to have a wall rebuilt and only got halfway. Everything takes so much longer than I think it should. Heaven knows what will happen when I'm 28
Chicky - what a treat having your own orchid.
Glad you felt well enough for your walk Fairy - you are really getting into it. A bit less of the snow word though if you please
My Strawberry Tea went well, 40 people came, several bearing cakes. We actually had too much cake! So we auctioned two of them and made an extra £20. Made about £50 from selling left over plants from my Open Garden day. Tickets for the tea were £9 each. For a cancer charity.
I have realised that I don't actually like cannas. I grew some last year in a pot and they did quite well. I put them in a box of compost in the garage over winter and when I got them out they were all shrivelled up and dried out. Perhaps I should have watered them, but I forgot about them. Bit of a relief because they don't really suit my garden style, which is more romantic and rose filled.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Night night Dove... and others too; if I go to bed at a sensible time I hardly see OH, who's a bit of an owl. so I try to stay awake for his sake. Doing a bit of yawning though
Lizzie, I'm glad you said it first. I don't like cannas either - and like you, they wouldn't fit my garden, which is too damp and shady. I've no time for bedding either... I much prefer plants which look as if they really love growing in my garden, which tends to exclude anything exotic.
Too much cake, eh?
Wish our car was a convertible like yours, Winter. I suppose I could take a can opener to the roof of our IQ to accommodate trees...
The newly-uncovered ears survived their first foray into the garden. Grass tidy, ready for hols.
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
Morning all! Yup Dove pull yaself off the floor, I'm up! And I've been to bed not just stayed up!
Set alarm so I could go round carboot sale while hubby snoring, but its blinking peeing it down! Still going, just gonna haggle more due to my inconvenience of getting wet! But I reckon the stallholders will want to go home so will reduce rates! At least the plants won't need watering! Have a relaxing day all

Two hedgepigs and a wood mouse on the patio.
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

Have just read back. Wow! Wintersong, that's a beautiful car. May you have many happy years together.
"We actually had too much cake" ........ Not words you hear often on this thread
Glad your day went well, and you raised lots of funds
Thanks Chicky. I think I have eaten too much cake.
Not very comfy.
There were scones, jam and cream too.
That's what happens when Verdun doesn't turn up!
Brilliant result BL - well done
