Hi Folks, Back in the garden today, weather been OK.  All of the plants seem to have survived the holiday thanks to hubby's irrigation system.  Haven't caught up because I've missed so much.  Did see that Chicky has an orchid though, how exciting and that Hosta's Cannas are flowering from seed.  Mine are still only leaves and they were bare rooted plants.  image

Have planted out 3 lysimachias that I grew from seed today and also some aquilegia.  Hope they are OK out in the big wide world rather than their cosy potsimage

Removed the top layer of soil from my bulb pots (down to the chicken wire) and refilled with fresh compost, fed, watered and planted a few petunias in there, also grown from seed.  I'm going to see if the bulbs flower again next year without removing them (lazy devil that I am).

Lots of deadheading done and planted a couple of Lupin Masterpiece that I had ordered before going on holiday.  Only have a few Clary, Verbena and Petunia to find homes for now.

Met the new neighbours today, they seem nice, they have a dog but no cats image

I'm home from the hills image

Good walk - wasn't feeling too great yesterday (shivery) so wasn't sure if I'd be fit today but I was ok. Weather was good apart from one shower - pretty lucky - you could see the snow coming across from the hills further west.

I bet Panda is more weary than me though ....image

I thought of growing cannas from seed but never got round to it image  MrsG - end of August/September is a good time to get some cannas - they sell 'em off cheap then  image

Lovely to have an orchid chicky image

I'd love to have a Gaura but they'd get battered into submission up here I think!

I need a shower, some dinner and a rest - before I have to collect a young fairy at some ungodly hour....image

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
