    Hello all

Dug over one of my veg beds and a half of another then planted out my tomatoes, cucumbers, courgettes, peas in pea bed and some tagetes around the edge, still have a few more tomato plants

Then played shifty things out of cold frame to potting table and bits out of plastic grow house into coldframe - found lots of slugs in coldframe now into bin they nibbles at my sunflowers

My poppy's have started flowering looking pretty

great planter there - you could use grass cuttings at the bottom or anything to bulk out the bottom before putting bags of compost in then you buy less compost

    Dove how is you pond?

Gardengirl image - the pond's doing really great thanks - it's not looking quite as beautiful as when it was new as the magpies and blackbirds trashed the edges getting mud for their nests - Wonky is going to help me plant some overhanging ferns around it to hide the pond liner.  And it's got quite a bit of blanket weed in there now - but the arrival of some mail-order pond snails the other day will hopefully help sort that out a bit.  Certainly the frogs are happy in there - I counted nine frogs of various sizes sunbathing in the pond this afternoon, and they were just the ones I could see image

Evening all, busy day today, Padstow this morning (had cornish pasty for lunch and lovely cornish ice cream.  This afternoon was spent sitting on the beach at Constantine bay in the sunshine, little ones paddling in the sea.  Then drove to Port Isaac and had a meal at The Mote, a fish restaurant right on the sea shore.  The weather is still georgeous Verdun, so far so good.

Thought I would share my Olympic rose ....I bought one of the rose bushes that was used to grow the flowers for the 2012 Olympic bouquets .....part of their recycling commitments.  Anyway, decided that first flower of the year would be plucked for indoors
