Good morning to the second contingent image

It's supposed to be cooler here today Verdun, but I hope it isn't - I nearly put the heating on yesterday!

Wintersong, our hedgehogs seem to clear up the seeds that the birds discard - well, them and the Dunnock family who spend lots of time in the garden now that we've planted all the undergrowth in the Little Wilderness image

    Good morning All,

Been rushed off my feet all week, houseful of people, including 3 children, really haven't stopped. Children were going to the beach twice a day so lots of sandy towels to wash and the sand seems to have got just about everywhere. image

Last ones leave today so a mountain of washing to tackle and then all calm for 2 days before more guests arrive Wednesday.

Hoping to spend two whole days in the garden before it gets completely overrun. OH going to UK so at least won't have to worry about cooking and he is there until Saturday. image Weather looking good too.

Good day to you all, Happy Travels for those off on trips and Happy Gardening to the rest of you. image

    Morning all.

Hoping for a day in the garden today - family insisted on bringing plants for the garden despite knowing (because I kept saying it very clearly and loudly for the past six months) we don't want plants or anything until the groundwork is done and I'm only interested in useful plants: herbs etc. I really don't share their tastes and don't have anywhere to put them! image

I know they mean well but I wish they'd listen! It's such an obligation to have these damned things thriving in the garden for when they visit next even though it is clear to see where my interests lay. Hopefully mother will visit next as she at least really likes geraniums and so can rehome those. I'm not sure how many we can claim the dog has trampled...

Oh well. It's almost 09:00 and no one has called to let us know we poisoned them with the impromptu bbq so that's a good start! image

    OL don't work too hard!
