I am back from the GC at last - there was a broken-down car and consquent traffic chaos on A11 - but never mind, I have what I went for ... and a few things I'd forgotten I needed image

Height in the two big tubs is going to be provided by Fuchsia Carmel Blue - but they're not very tall at the moment so they'd better hurry up and grow.

I remembered to get the new cord for the strimmer and some wood treatment for the little greenhouse.

It sounds as if the sound checks for Radio One's Big Weekend have started - it's about a mile away from here as the Dove flies - I hope we like their taste in music!!!

Oh! http://www.bbc.co.uk/events/ewh8q9/performances/lfbj3d there's some quite good acts on ... anyone want to come and picnic and share a bottle in our garden and listen to some free music? image

Love the 'GC immediately' Dove.  Emergency - plants needed NOWimage.

Not taken everything in but I hope you're dressed now Wonkyimage.

Glad you're feeling better Winter.  Plant therapy does help doesn't it.  Wonder how many donuts are needed for a Bank Holiday weekendimage.

Thanks KEF - I phoned earlier and was told she's 'bright as a button'.  I have had a great tour of Liverpool and surrounding districts today.  The satnav was playing games methinksimage.  I'm sitting, chilling slightly, with a glass of sherry.  OK OK but there's not much choice and I quite like itimageimage.

Hope Verdun manages to do something about the Cornish weather before you get there Yvieimage

This is probably a VERY good time to think about Chelsea for next year Liri.  I'm hoping to be back home for Gardening Scotland next weekend and if OH is bowling I'll just go by myself, with money, that'll teach himimage

Hello sorry didn't post on my return from Busylizzies.

Have been so busy and  the garden to sort out as well!

I had a lovely time and we all worked very hard to get it 'show' perfect

Was frisked at airport in France and had case searched at airport in England!!

Already a nervous traveler, next trip will be terrified!!

I see a lot of you still have sticky label syndrome - I have to stop for a while as there are so many plants waiting to go in. While i was away a long awaited white echinops arrived. Thankfully it survived OH!!!

Today I have planted up the raised bed for cut flowers, yesterday I finished planting up a veggie raised bed - 2 more to go1

I've planted up the two big tubs/pots - there are some smaller ones to do too, but there may be a petunia or two left over - Wonky, next time I come your way remind me to pop them in the boot image  I'll pot them up tomorrow so they grow on a bit image

Matty, glad you're home safe and sound.  I like it when they do lots of frisking/checking baggage etc - my reasoning is that if they're checking me they're checking everyone, so no one's going to get anything slightly dangerous on board.  Feel much saferthat way than if they're just waving everyone through. image

Matty - sympathy re travelling!  Only been frisked once at an airport, Lisbon actually.  Changing flights, first one arrived very late, ran through airport to security, officials got suspicious & searched both me & OH.  Arrived at boarding just as they were about to close, in my socks, boots in hand.  image

Just made another load of bird cake (melted beef dripping mixed with equal weight of ground peanuts).  They're eating me out of house and home!

Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

Birds are eating for two here as well

The babies are sitting above the feeders in the tree where mummy sparrows are taking bits from the mealworm dish for their babies. A magpie tried to nab one earlier. They've got chicks to feed too I guess image

The poor wee robin is looking sooooooooo scruffy just now. I read / heard they moult around the feeding time, maybe that's what's happening?

Spoke to my Boss to-day who sees no problem with my going down to two days a week and has OKd the unpaid leave over the winter so we can extend our holidays.

What a lovely man he is.
