Congratulations on the success of your open garden BL! It looks beautiful, what a treat!
Rain here but not the useful sort, just the damp annoying kind!
Not a lot of work done in the garden as far as my usual rate goes, but I did sit and monitor growth of plants whilst holding my head and asking the birds to 'keep it down please!' Might have had a lil party Saturday night/Sunday morning
Monty the new mower came out last night for his test drive spin round the garden, very successful! and just in time as we now have three days of rain forecast. So p
Spiking thee lawn today, and pallet deconstruction for an inspiratioinoal idea I've had to have since moody man next door doesn't want trellis on his wall
Good morning Wonky and everyone else who's appeared
Wonky, I've had a inspiration too - those raised beds are going to be moved (eventually) to the area where the tree roots are such a problem! There's more, but it's still in my head ...
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Everyone seems really busy at the moment but isn't it a lovely time of year? the rain has been welcome and has bedded in some new plants.
I'm sure your supply of doughnuts will be fine Verdun .
My brother is hiking in Scotland now and emailed yesterday to say they had done 5 munros above Braemar and had crossed snow fields. they had seen mountain hares and ptarmigan. We haven't had one flake of snow all winter here in Cornwall.
Read back over what you lot have been doing for the past day or so. Lots of progress in gardens, and lots of noisy neighbours, by the looks of things! I really hate children screaming so I sympathise with those of you who have to put up with it. (Apparently our 14-month-old granddaughter has just discovered it winds her mum up no end when she screams - they're trying the "ignore-it-completely" technique to try to make her stop.) We just get loads of footballs in the garden... They get returned when I feel like it, which is sometimes after quite a long time, if we've been inundated with them.
Must look at Lizzie's open garden thread. Sounds as if it was an excellent day!
Bit tired today after singing all afternoon & evening in York (rehearsal followed by concert). But steady drizzle this morning doesn't look like tempting me into the garden, & I've got some French to learn before this afternoon's class. And HWK, I suppose...
See you later!
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
Just another flying visit over a quick sandwich, been at accountants all morning
and have chores for the next hour or so but after that I am escaping to the garden for the rest of the day, everything growing too fast, am going to curtail it all (the weeds anyway).
Luckily the weather is nice, sunny with a gentle breeze.

Dove, could lend a hand too if you want extra help? Could be fun
No plans for today
Oooh, that sounds like fun - we could have a BBQ - whaddaya say Wonky? I'm planning on OH being involved too, and the Head Gardener will take a mainly supervisory/creative role
But it won't be until the autumn - there's things growing in them at the moment.
