  • Good morning all image  Right, the run up to Christmas really starts today in this house - Sainsbugs to be emptied, tree to be dressed, presents to be wrapped - those are the missions for today, in that order.

KEFimage - I'm such a Dean Martin fan - one of the things I miss most about going to work is singing along to How do you like your eggs in the morning? as I drove along the riverside and up through Mousehold Common in the morning. image

    Morning all.

Music does fire off the emotions. There were bits that my father used to hum loudly, I called them "Daddy's hums", they make me feel emotional when I hear them. Funny how even when children are grown up and middle aged they are still "children" to their parents.

We are going to see my "children" and 6 grandchildren this weekend. My son has rented gites in the farm next door to him south of Orleans.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
