W'song - you have my full sympathy re children. Sadly some parents nowadays seem to think their precious cherubs should have the run of every square inch for miles around - regardless of who it belongs to
Is the red Hydrangea really red or is it a deep pink Verd?
No gardening done here after work - forgot I had the dentist
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Just noticed that there's a programme on tonight (following the Chelsea thingy) called Modern times : The Great British Garden Watch about people setting up their gardens for filming wildlife. Might be of interest to some of us - might be rubbish of course....

Dessert on its way W'song, hubby not a rhubarb fan! Crazy, I know!
OK...so I discovered a new GC today, bypass nurseries nr Colchester,
2 gladiator lupins I couldn't shake off and a evergreen orange azalea and an Adonis azalea,
Mum says I'm gonna get told off for not checking soil acidity but I do know Eric compost needed, would they need to be in pots or will Eric in the ground be ok?
Day 3 of the Nanna Duty Challenge. Today I took Mabel to a local park and we fed the ducks (one of her favourite things to do). We walked all the way round the lake and had an ice-cream before playing on the park. The rest of the day was mainly taken up with building towers, reading books and watching Ben and Holly. It is now official, I am exhausted.
I love my grandchildren but I would have so loved to have been in my garden today. It's going to rain tomorrow apparently so I have no idea how I will keep her amused.
Congrats Edd, love a nice bit of dry stone wall.
Hubby says garden and plants are fine, so hope I don't get home to a complete disaster.
Off to have a quick wizz round the site before checking out some plant porn.
Read back a bit,you all seem to have survived whilst I have been away, working I hasten to add, not away having fun.
Night off tonight as guests trying a local restaurant, but they are eating here again tomorrow. Making the most of my free evening and relaxing with a glass (or 2) of rose with a hint of raspberry on the back terrace under the abri, very civilised.
Did go and buy some compost for my new blueberry plants but although I had a look at the plants in the shop there was nothing exciting there so left empty handed apart from the soil.
Managed to tidy up the greenhouse a bit too, nearly empty of flowers now, just cucumber, tomatoes and a lemon plant in there and a few little cuttings and last batch of rudbeckia, can actually walk in it now.
Hope the dentist was kind Fairy, and hope you all have a nice evening.
