Have moved horses to summer grazing, they were silly with excitement! Had to do a few electric fence repairs first, got soaked in the rain.
W Womble, I was born in Ipswich, mother's family from East Anglia. I'm taking OH to Suffolk in July to show him places like Southwold where my grand parents lived. We are hoping to meet Dove.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
hi all, not been about for a couple of days but at least my year end accounts are done! (I kid you not it's the first time ever before December, have been known to deliver them to accountant xmas eve!, feeling smug!)
Now I know what you mean by sticky labels at GC!
Hosta halcyon stuck to me ( thanks Hostafan) and so did Kniphofia uvaria ( thanks verdun and monty).
Not read back much but that lobelia is devine, bet it's sticky too...
kniphofia is definitely for a nostalgia bit of garden (if just one plant), wanted one for nostalgic reasons for ages but verdun gave the go ahead last week, and I've not researched it one bit!
Sons made a fruit cake (from my mums Bero book - more nostalgia), it's ready at 8.45.
Off to try and catch some Tour de Yorkshire tomorrow.
Chilly out, cold wind but no frosts expected. Had a chill on my bones all evening but fine now
Eldest son is visiting for weekend plus I have work, but it's only two days, take care of your precious plants up north,
I was surprised earlier in the garden to discover a heuchera with 6 separate clumps of leaves, I always read the labels and research the plants I have but sometimes forget that I have yet to see it fully mature. I've had this particular heuchera for maybe four years but first thing I did when I bought it was divide it, may have done the division thing twice because I have a drift of ten or more. It will be lovely to see these this year
Early start for me in the morning, hosta, bakers get up at 5
GH babies wrapped up just in case ...but from tomorrow it all looks warmer. Potted up some new verbascum Helen Johnson too.
loving that watersplash too Might go annual shopping this weekend - need isotoma, blue salvias and marguerites for my summer pots - will grow them on for a bit in the GH in the space left by my evicted agapanthus.
sorry Winter - won't be joining you on the morning shift tomorrow My turn for a lie-in
Fingers crossed Matty gets the ok to travel....you deserve a mini -break

KEF, You can have my share of the dodgy knee and I'll have your share of the beer?
Deal or no deal
Me thinks not Hosta
Hope the knee eases tomorrow x

Veg patch sprouting but forgotten which bits I haven't planted and therefore which are weeds
Ice I hope you feel better soon
I'm sure when veg grows you will be able to tell it from the weeds, in my experience the weeds grow the quickest
I'm sure you will spot your radishes
Better start feeling better! Thinking of hitting plant stalls tomorrow while oh is away....
