Fingers and toes firmly crossed for you for Tuesday Matty.
Dove you'll need a stiff drink tonight after that electric shock. Talking of which, behave yourself tonight Panda.
Beaus, no I didn't carry my plants on my back and there were only two. Your lobelia is a beauty which is now on my wish list too. Hope you've managed to get all your purchases home now. Perhaps you shouldn't have planted up your wheelbarrow and used that for your GC trip.
Wintersong - it's a Direct Debit so they could have put it up to the new amount, but they won't (he promised). The new bill will be much much much lower! Like Matty, he doesn't understand why the computer let such a huge jump go unqueried and he's going to get that checked too.
Wonky - congratulations on patience with child
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
All plants home now and on the "terrace" Th least two which were baby crabb apples were dropped off for me, a royalty and a Rudolph, really love em!
Bit nippy here now too KEF, wheres my fleece?!!!
Hope you can all source that lobelia now I've got you all wanting on your wish lists as know my GC did it first time last year and sold out quick! Let me know if you can't as know she is doing again this year and will get for you x
Afternoon Forkers, Didn't go to David Austin yesterday BM but I went today instead. Came back with Susan Williams-Ellis a lovely white rose. Noticed that quite a few of the perennials there had signs of frost damage. Been lucky here, although we had a slight frost no damage to any of the plants. Living in a town has it's advantages.
A mixture of sun and cloud today but no rain today. Hopefully will get the rose in tomorrow.
Beaus, are you going to be able to persuade your OH that the plants have been on the terrace for ages?
Matty, fingers crossed for you!
Wintersong, bet that compost was heavy!
Well, today's Burnley trip was remarkably pleasant - lovely old trees full of singing birds round Towneley Hall, and though the garden centre was small it was worth a visit. Only 4 plants had sticky labels - 3 pots of sweet peas and an Andromeda. But when visiting the cafe for a cup of tea, I unaccountably asked for a piece of their home-made fruit flapjack before I remembered I'd stopped eating cake... I did manage to save half the piece for OH though.
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

Evening all.
After a 6am alarm call, a busy day at work and " the knee" killing me all day, I think I've earned my beer.
Beau's Mum, no, we're not in Yellow Book. Not sure my nerves could take it.
