We can see Dartmoor to the East ( ish ) 25 miles away, and Bodmin to West ( ish ) about 30 miles away and a hill called Brent Tor 35 miles to the South. In summer we can't see a single house. I love it here.

    Devon.

I was wondering if Verdun might be able to identify the grass in the corner in the first pic? I bought it years ago and brought it here in a bucket. I seem to think Miscanthus... Fountain rings a bell, but honestly no idea.

I love that part of the world - I went ponytrekking on Dartmoor when I was a child, and on Exmoor when I was a grownup (only a couple of years ago!) and when we stayed in a cottage on Bodmin (3 years ago) I was woken in the middle of the night by a nightingale singing outside my window!  I'm glad you've found the place of your dreams Hosta image

    Morning all image

Day two of the de-ground eldering of my garden! Intensive job....digging out and levelling off then sow grass seed in an attempt to reclaim the lost edges that never get touched!

Dug all sorts out....a carpet, enough bricks to make a path...which is exactly what I did....cheaper than a skip, and many finds that would be more at home on time team!

Did I mention that our garden is very much a work inprogress! image

pictures have been taken as Dove tells me that we likebefore and after pictures....just need to learn how to upload them image

Just need to relocate the neighbours and build a moat!

Hope everyone has a lovely day and warm weather image

You'll get there, WonkyWomble - and having Dove on hand for advice and help must be a bonus!  (It's what mums are for, of course.  image)

Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

Hey Wonky, don't think we've met? Are you baby dove then? I know where have I been? Nice to have a family team on board. Look forward to seeing your before and afters.

Hosta, how amazing, garden, work done AND views.
