Wow....you lot have been chatty since I last stuck my nose in! Not a big scone fan so wont argue about what we call them as long as I don't have to have them! Pancakes are another matter! Maple syrup or sugar and lemon!
Sorry to hear that the computer system installation was as much of a nightmare as you expected Steve! gives me a headache just thinking about it!
Dove, show me a pic of the dahlias!
Enjoy your stomp Fairy!
Another great day at the new job yesterday, feel really positive about it!
Going to need to start cooking in bulk and freezing again those I'm not managing to sit down until about 11pm!
Right hand was obviously bitten by something yesterday as it was double the size of the other with no knuckles! Antihistamines last night and its a bit more normal now!

Well, I am perhaps a bit different from most of the country, being up in the mountains and nearer to antactica than most of the country. When we lived in Darwin, gardening was very much tropical - growing ginger, bananas, paw paw, pineapple, etc.
In Melbourne, the climate was more moderate and probably similar to what you all think Australia is like.
The country regions are so varied, that our TV gardening programs have representatives from each region - Hobart Tasmania, Perth WA, Brisbane Qld, Sydney NSW, Melbourne Vic, Adelaide SA., as well as some segments specialising in native plants. As a viewer, I need to mentally screen those that are not relevant to my area. We are fairly close to Hobart in conditions.
Pat E, I'm in the lucky position of planning a two week trip going from Sydney to Adelaide in a motorhome as part of a longer holiday in Australia. Are there any websites you could recommend that lists gardens that I could visit?

Hi KEF, thanks for the heads up re Panda's birthday
.
Christmas falls on a Friday this year. I hope it's not the 13th
. That would give you more of a gap to the New year though Steve
.
Morning all!

I wish there was a bigger gap between New Year and Christmas.
I have a cousin in Tasmania Dove, rest of the family are in Perth, and some in Norfolk and some in Holland on Sea, we are a scattered lot.
Christmas Day and Boxing Day seem very close

My ex's wife's sister and hubby are moving to Tasmania, He's been offered a job running a fish farm.
Climate there seems pretty much like Scotland's.
