Morning all. Topsy turvy weather - you've got ours now Dove and chicky. Rain coming later here though.
Not looking very promising for the weekend so I may be confined to quarters. I'll have to rely on you all to keep me amused or I might have to do h****work and that simply won't do
Hope Hosta gets his van fixed - he'll be very grouchy if he can't get out
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
OH gone to help fix a computer 'thingy' at school so I get to have an extra coffee instead of the school run, yay. Saying that, the kitchen floor really does need a mop running over it, not sure how long I can sit here looking at it. Don't suppose 5 more minutes will make any difference.
Punkdoc, good luck with your bulbs today, we will have to have a party once we've all got them in.
Saying that, I have been invited to an End of Season sale at local nursery on Sunday, 25% off all bulbs and perennials - and free cake and coffee. Perhaps I'll come back all enthused and get everything in then - perhaps.
Hope work goes better today Panda, more coffee needed probably and/or cake.
Right, floor..... Good day all.
“Coffee. Garden. Coffee. Does a good morning need anything else?” —Betsy Cañas Garmon
Feel like I have my head on today and my brain is firmly in place
It's a bit rainy here too, but I'm still smiling
I have bulbs to plant too, 3 of those massive and expensive fritillary bulbs that Monty planted ages ago No sign of my ones from Ms Raven yet Not that I have the time to plant them . . .
Seems we all have mucky kitchen floors and bulbs to plant.
Glad it's not just me. I chucked the steamy thing out, it's a hand and knees job not.
I was so disillusioned with my garden this year and I think that's is why I can't be bothered to put the bulbs in. I have hundreds to go in the ground and I know I will regret it next Spring when nature does here best to cheer us at the end of winter.
I would love for someone to be here with me and give me a boost.
Well enough of those thoughts! Off to Morrisons this morning as we have a big job down Cornwall tomorrow.
Have a good day, workers and shirkers, hope Hosta's van is mended, bruise going off a bit and OH home safe, Doc can set himself one little task, DD mops her floor, and everything else everyone needs to do.
Gardening on the wild, windy west side of Dartmoor.
Damp, grey and very dreary here too....but on the bright side our youngest is coming down today to spend the wk end with us......whoo hoo!!!! After all these years childrearing and working in childcare I still miss my own 3 'babies' and love to smother them with motherly care and fussiness (is that a real word!!)
Soooo blow the bulbs they will have to wait a little longer!
Will have to quickly check over and administer some TLC on my B&Q sickbay buys from yesterday, cyclamen that are full of buds for only 50p.
Thoughts are with all that have problems....hope they get resolved soon.
Hugs to all poorly folk, snuggle down and rest up.
Happy Bonfire Night to all, enjoy and keep safe. X
Doc I would be very interested to know if your light box gives benefit, I just dont see how it can brighten a whole room?!
Fairy the forecast is lousy for the weekend, just as I get a chap to come and help with leaves think you should stay at ground level
all my fritillaries got eaten by something last year, have not replaced. Planted over 90 bluebells too and not a one came up so nothing being added this year
DD I bought a steamer thingy, I find it works best with detergent in it, didn't do much in water alone. i do like the instant drying!
Lyn I think we all had challenges with the garden this year. Just take a winter rest and the the spring will fire you up again
off to Physio, we travel a week today so beginning to panic slightly but as O H says I must trust the professionals
dove, did you make that cake yesterday, we didn't see any of it?!

Good morning all
Looks OK out here at the moment but everywhere's soggy from yesterday. Maybe planting bulbs in pots is the answer.

It'll get better Panda. It's nearly the weekend

Off to work for me now. I'll catch you all later

Morning all.
Dreich and horrible out , but seems mild.
I've already had OH on phone telling me they've cancelled all flights to and from Sharm.
" you must go on the website and see what they're saying. I'll call back in an hour"
We're not due to fly until Jan 7th!!!!!
I've not even had my first cup of tea yet.
Van due back this morning . Hubby due back this afternoon.
I know which I'm looking forward to more.
