Panda I've tried many other drinks. Pimms has just never appeared on the radar for some reason. When it does get hot enough here I tend to go for an ice-cold lager. You're right that it's not often though.
Got to get out with the dog before the next hailstorm now. At least I'm not as daft as OH who's out bowling.
I told the 3 grandsons to a crocodile park this morning, went very well. We saw them being fed, but crocodiles aren't very greedy so not as dramatic as I'd thought! They only need about a kilo a week and can go for ages without food. Bought the boys a boomerang each in the shop, but 2 work and 1 doesn't, so that was a bit of a bother. Hope it's sorted now.
OH had strict instructions to record Poldark, if he hasn't he will be on strict rations when I get home!
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Ha ha Winter - you have to put the scissors, secateurs, etc back in the box and not on the ground. My Dad once had to buy a new pair of glasses as he couldn't find them anywhere. The next spring he found his old ones on top of a bush in the garden.
Afternoon guys & gals ????. Been reading all topics and picking up tons of advice for months now so I thought it was about time I said hello and joined you all. Looking forward in getting to know you all better....????????
I've just been standing on the terrace with a dish of live mealworms - robin came and perched on it three times but just wasn't quite brave enough to take his eye off me and bend down to pick up his lunch - in the end he went and perched on the chair where the dish usually is and gave me a hard stare, so I gave in and put the dish down on the chair.
I'll continue with training the robin later when I've had my Cromer crab salad lunch
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Hi Dove and Lesley, it's a pleasure to meet you both.
have had terrible rain and storms here for days but suns out now so will have to pop out and see if there's been any damage done as apparently we have to get more of the same in the next week or so and with clay soil, I'm worried my hard work will all go to pot...fingers crossed.

Thank you and hi 1Runnybeak1
Hello Clarice
.
Lizzie that was an interesting excursion
. At least two of the boomerangs worked but I'm sure you're diplomacy was called for
.
Plants can be so resillient
. My newly emerged tulips were hanging their heads after this mornings' frost but are standing up for themselves again
Welcome Clarice
