Yvie - as promised - hope this shows the difference between the flower (top) and the leaf bud (bottom) ....do you see what I mean about it looking like an apple pip
I love Wisteria Hope yours does have flowers (need a fingers crossed smiley)
DD, had to smile at your chateau visit. You've got to keep your feet firmly on the ground with your OH
Would love to see all your wisteria pics when the buds open. Not long now chicky
SM for me today and from the weather forecast it looks like another non-gardening day. Sure I'll find something to do but I don't expect it will be cleaning the oven
Beautiful chicky. I always find it helps to leave grumpy in bed for an hour or two after I get up.
Dove you could save yourself a trip to the GC if you manage to get your nails clean Hope you are better at keeping nail varnish on than I am. Lucky it it lasts more than an hour.
I love Wisteria and I remember how stunning Chicky's looks
Thanks for the good luck wishes today folks, I am excited, was awake early this morning and the sun is already blazing here. Will be feasting later with all my sons around the table which a mother loves but also have some solid gardening to do during the day.
Apart from pergolas to erect, I have PPPs to decide on and no more faffing about, everything is growing away now, the weather is here, the birds are chasing each other and I am beginning that well known ritual of taking the garden furniture out in the mornings and away at night
Can anyone offer advice on Yuccas, I know they get big (even in our climate?) and is a generous four foot spread in a raise bed enough, its beside a path (yes I know what they say) but the path is two foot wide as well
I do have a safer spot for it if needs be, I just always want what I cant have

Finding that pic has made me smile again....I hate it when I start the day grumpy
Good morning all - sunshine and blue skies here this morning
and already up to 7C (it fell to around 2C overnight).
Don't think I'm ever going to get the compost out from under my nails - I'd better paint them for Pa's Thanksgiving!
I think a trip to the GC might be in order today - I need some seed compost and stuff!
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
