Hi Bushman, hope you not too dizzy from driving round all these road! have you noticed how many flies there are this year, I hate them and they are almost as bad as when we lived in Australis. I have a friend in the village making a corked hat!
Dove coffee was delicious thank you, on the last cup now.
Busy that sounds lovely, see if you can get a photo of the stage, imagine being able to plan that, everyone would be in Wellies and sou'westers here!
Lesley hugs
Right, off to work, our studio reopens on Monday and the whole place needs cleaned.
we advertise that we don't use chemical cleaner, why did I say that?!

a sleep psychologist (friend of a friend of a friend) told me always to move out of bed, so you did the right thing. Tossing and turning just makes your bed a "place of anxiety" she also reassured me that it is unusual to have two night the same! Hope you get thro the day ok

LillyP i drive mostly on country roads with a 20 ton truck delivering building supplies so by time i got home i was a bit frazzled. Upside was being out in the countryside.
Forecast rain for yesterday didn't happen. Parts of the garden are looking very dry and dusty again. Soz to all in Scotland and the NW who are fed up with wet and cold- but I would much prefer wetter summers and a lush, verdant garden to the hot, dry, windy conditions we get here. So much time and money wasted watering - and it's never as good as a few hours solid rain. Garden always looks tired and as though it's going over by late July - and ants everywhere...
Long to grow huge, lovely ferns, hostas and all the other things associated with damp woodlands & river valleys.
Sorry for the moan - feel better now
Hope your dog is OK Steve - something you can deal with at least and hope you get outside in the garden DD (although I'd dislike your weather situation even more!). Enjoy the decorating WS - I'm having a year off this year (if you don't count painting the shed!). Hope the play is good BL (love Montpazier).
Everybody else - enjoy whatever you're up to.
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
Morning all! A much welcome day off here: I've the washing done, the pastry base for a tart in the fridge chilling, some drawings done (for a Great Fire Of London display at work), and now I must rest before my spine throws a complete tantrum (even mild painkillers it seems set off my stomach problems so I'm trying to resist going to the doctor to get back on the harsh painkillers I used to take unless it gets much worse and hopefully I can force the subject of pain patches).
Its amazing how much you get done while pacing the house waiting for the vets to call Poor Reggie having cut his paw badly is now hopefully well onto the way to having an operation to de-bridle it and sew it up as he'd snapped the staples and didn't like the idea of "months and months" of resting (no walks!) if we let it heal naturally. He's not having a good time: his lordship wouldn't let me get him snipped while he was under as he didn't think that fair. Men! I was more concerned about the whole needing another general anaesthetic.
Right. I'd best get that kettle on: anyone need anything? I need to make a run to the shops for butter to make some biscuits so get your shopping lists in!
Sounds like you've had a really fun day Clarington. We waited all day for a plumber to bring a replacement hotwater unit. It eventually arrived and was installed but it was dark before they finished. No shower tonigh though! 7.10pm here now.
Our Aloe Vera has been kicked out of the house His Lordship wasn't too happy when you had to be careful closing the curtains as so not to catch its overhanging bits but now its filled the windowsill and has taken to attacking you when you come into the room (its over 110 cm across and over 80 cm tall including the pot).
It has a few pups that I will give chance to grow a little before I pot up so that it can carry on in its own little way but I am so upset not to be able to have it in the house (there's just no room!) It survived eight years of university with his lordship and best mate living above the cooker and quite often being covered in grease, muck, and dust. It was either drowning in foul smelling water or forgotten for six months.
Does anyone know if I stand even a tiny chance of having this as a greenhouse (unheated) plant over a Yorkshire winter?
