Good morning all 19C and sunny image

    Catch you all later image

  • Morning all,

After a week-end of (much needed) rain the sun is out and it looking and feeling nice & fresh, grass will need cutting (you could have been describing ours Dove) and I am going to chase up a hedge trimming man and try & get an idea of price.

My poor friend spent the day with a friend and is feeling a bit better but still very low. He has a job interview on Wednesday and I really hope he gets it, it is the perfect job for him and he was asked to go for it by someone who works as a manager there so I am really hoping he has a good chance. Will do his confidence the world of good and also opportunities for meeting some new people. image

Anyway, good day to all, will catch up later. image

    Morning all.

Little bit overcast this morning. Cooler but still warm and rain forecast for this afternoon.

Love agapanthus, pick me up a couple too please Hosta.

DD, hope your friend is ok, 38 is still young. Like RB I think there's someone out there for everyone............. Not probably what he's thinking at the moment.  Hope you're ok too DD, sending hugs.

Must find a permanent place for my little xmas tree, have decided to keep it outside rather than bring it back in this year.

    Have a lovely day everyone.

    Good morning all image

Sleepy heads today for OH and me both image

Warm muggy weather with showers forecast for the entire week which is fine if you are a salt miner but what if you are a potato or tomato?  That's exactly why I don't grow them and my dad says whaaaaaa? But I've got bunches ready to ripen, corrrr, lucky me!

And he doesn't believe me when I explain that August is predictably moist and muggy because all the cloud made in the colder south comes floating up the Atlantic as the temps rise in the north and gets snagged on our little island 9 times out of ten image and that's why I don't bother with tommies or tatties image

Good luck to those who still have faith, I'll be doing a lot of housework today and there's an enormous pile of you-know-what image

Glad you had a good time despite him!image

Hope your friend is OK DD, he sounds a lovely fella! I think if you marry early you risk marrying a  mistake! I always think the most attractive thing anyone can be is happy!....who can resist that?!?! The right one for him will show themselves image

Glad work is better winter! Nice to be listened to!image

Did a yard sale yesterday, just on the front drive....all SIL stuff, downsizing before she moves made ninety quid in total so not bad! Good way to meet the neighbours!image

    Good morning Wonky image

No, not an indulgent day today -  bed linen is in the wash and must put fresh on the bed, the bathroom needs cleaning, must pop down the road for some supplies ... etc etc etc

    (Yawny) morning all.

Hmmm - you lot were very interested in my knickers yesterday...

Knickers had a very nice time actually & didn't need rubbing - bride & groom were a lovely couple & there were some interesting people to chat to including a fellow gardener so all went off better than expected.

The worst bit was getting ready - under the hairdryer, putting on make up & squeezing into tights and magic knickers as the temps nudged 30C wasnt much fun. But the venue was an abbey ruin by the river in Norfolk (beautiful) & was nice & cool inside.

Got to bed at 2.30am - 'nuff said...

You lot have all been busy. Hope your friend is OK DD, & I have that buddleia too Chicky - smothered in cabbage whites all weekend - some poor person probably growing brassicas nearby.

Quiet trip to SM today then prob have a nap this pm - need to catch up on sleep image
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
