Lookin like it's going to be another fine day up here. Woke up this morning to find that my propagator full of Borage seeds that had no life in it yesterday, now has 3/4" inch seedlings in every cell. Birdsfoot are showing a bit of life too. Nothing from the Agastache yet though.
Not too long before all your plants can go out Lyn. When do you risk it? Up here they reckon around the first week in June. Can't wait as I'm getting rather crowded too.
Thanks Lizzie, feel raring to go again but will be sensible and go round with the hoe and secateurs.
KEF, did you take a selfie so we could guess whether they're legs or hot dogs. (really hope you've heard of that)
Nice sunny here if this weather keeps up I will have to get to my wood painting
Yesterday was green house shuffle time and more flower seed sowing later on
Saturday spent a long time trying to sort out fence holes removing bits of trees, helping dad with re putting in a fence post as other one snapped with all the winter storms and the wood in the hole would not shift - well sawing bits hammering and whacking with a fence spade
So my aches got rested a bit yesterday hands and arms
maybe those gardeners with pain will have those heat packs so you don't notices there bent in pain so much
DD nice lots of plants looks like a phlox in that box as well as what Chicky said
Afternoon all, Been busy in the garden this morning, it's lovely and sunny here. Got a pressie from the postman this morning. My grow house arrived and I've put it together. It's in the greenhouse, not outside. It was on offer with a cover and fleece cover and was almost as cheap as buying shelving (and it was a perfect size). The fleece will provide extra protection in the winter.
Have planted loads of bare root perennials this year and all of them have come through except the agastache. If they don't appear will probably just buy a replacement and put it down to experience.
Have a couple more packet of seeds left to sow and then that's me finished for now. Have had quite a good success rate considering it's the first year I've had a greenhouse. First lot of cosmos went leggy and so have the latest batch of verbena. Second lot of cosmos have been successful though. Have lots still to prick out, dreading the petunia's there's load of them.
Clematis coming tomorrow and still haven't prepared the site for them so that will probably be the job for this afternoon. But first a nice cup of tea and a hot cross bun yum yum.
Am wishing I'd saved my washing for today instead of doing it yesterday as the weather today is much better We lost the sun by the afternoon, but it's still going strong today

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Good morning all. Another sunny day.
I hope your backs, Lesley and Chicky, are on the mend and punkdoc's virus is only a small one.
Today will be the fun bit in the veggie garden, sowing seeds and planting potatoes. Not as ache making as yesterday's preparation.
Morning All!
