Morning all -another day dawns, and I can see blue sky
Popped into a GC at lunchtime and was tempted by something called a scabious centaurea - looked like a cross between the two. Has anyone grown it? Had lovely tall, wavy flowers like a centaurea montana, but held on scabious like stalks. As I have heard others say .....I have just the spot
Hosta ((hugs)) have a lovely day and ignore the unkind miserable ones - it's a shame, but OH doesn't need them, he's got you and you've got him - be happy
Oooh yes Chicky, Scabious centaurea, Greater Knapweed - lovely elegant and attracts pollinators, goldfinches etc - it's on my list for the new bed I'm planning this autumn - according to Sarah Raven it likes poor dry soils and 'thrives on neglect' - just the ticket

Hosta, one of the really nice things about this site, is that we can share things that are troubling / annoying us, without fear of reproach and receive lots of support, I know that I have.
Got to clear some of my nettle patch today, it was a lovely small patch to help the butterflies, but is now in danger of a bid for world domination.
Have a lovely day.
PS hosta, I would still tell OHs brother.
How can you lie there and think of England When you don't even know who's in the team

Hope last night's soul-searching makes the sufferers feel supported and cared-for. It's good to share... not that I've got anything bad in the "relative department", though we are currently acting as a "buffer" in our little street, between different neighbours who won't speak to each other. We speak to everyone, hence are used as a sounding-board for everybody's grievances though it has its positive side; I clear weeds from the road edges, and therefore get my stone flags outside the front jet-washed as a thankyou by neighbours both sides (who wouldn't dream of cleaning each others' flags!). Cleanest flagstones in the street...
I like your Pooh quote, Dove. I still use my Dad's tunes to Pooh's "hums" when reading the stories to my granddaughter... - and I also count everything, including, last night, all the raspberries I was preparing for the freezer.
Well - better go and get the train to catch the plane to Ireland.
See you in a week, folks. Be good!
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

Relate being appropriate word considering those involved in our heartache are mostly relations.
