Oh how I wish there was an oven cleaner here. New oven, which I love, is OK but need to sell the old one, a cast iron Godin range which I hated and is filthy.

Have been weeding the Paul's Scarlet rose, but I think it's a lost cause - couch grass has got into it's roots.

Rose has been there over 20 years and doing well so will leave it. It's in a little bed against the house with the stone paving of the terrace around it.

A few hours in the garden today, very therapeutic. Planted out some Larkspur, normally I Spring sow the seeds, but this year, I Autumn sowed and the plants were a good 9 inches tall and very stocky.

Also planted out some Sanguisorba officianalis Tanna, very pretty foliage and the flowers work really well with grasses.

Right, bath time for me, see you later.

    Sorry Runny

Cooker looks like new, one of the doors handles was really wonky and OH couldn't work out how to tighten it, they did it for him. Took 2 blokes about 1 1/2 hours and they also did my extractor, polishing the stainless steel funnel right up to the ceiling. May seem a long time but I have a double oven Rangemaster affair. Worth it and the firm used Ovenclean.

There's a business opportunity for you and OH, Liz image

Afternoon peeps,  Congratulations to all those with gleaming ovens (mine isn't one of themimage)

Spent most of the day in the garden, had a delivery from Crocus sale a new Dahlia Jescot Julie and some Tuberose have planted the Dahlia but think I need a pot for the Tuberose as I haven't got one big enough, also need some compost.  Trip to GC for me tomorrow then.

Have attached the scaley bugs and treated the Japanese A.  Everything is looking good at the moment but the best news is all three of my new Peonies are now showing through the soil yipeeeeeeeimage.  Now if only my agastache blue boa show I will be a happy woman.

A lot of my large early daffs were dying off so I've dug them up.  Decided I want to replace them with smaller varieties in the autumn, not so prone to blowing around. Still got lots of smaller ones to go and Pheasant Eye which are growing rapidly now.

If it stays dry should be able to mow the lawn again tomorrow.

Was in the garden reasonably early today but had to stop at lunch time to go to the vets again. They gave me some different food and Flynn has an appointment on Tuesdayimage

Hallway floor looks amazing unlike my oven image

I've been digging teasels out of a heavy clay patch. I suspect I will pay for it tomorrow. A  thrush has been imitating a robin, and bobbing around my feet picking up worms. I think he has a nest in the hedge. Robin was chuntering at him.
