Have been busy in the garden today planting new plants. Off Nanna Duty now for a couple of weeks so plenty of time to spend in the garden if the weather remains good. Lawn is being treated tomorrow. Hubby has visited the tip and disposed of a mountain of garden rubbish.
Thought you had been a bit quiet Bekkie hope you feel better soon. Lizzie, Runny and Gemma hope bugs disappear soon, pity we don't have an organic spray to get rid of them.
Just returned from Ireland and caught up a little bit... Dove - so sorry for your loss - thinking of you and your family as you work out how to break the news to your Mum.
And still lots of poorly people! I'm sure gardening is medicinal, KEF. We'd all be much less healthy without getting muddy, digging out weeds and looking at those wonderful plants...
I've spent a very happy week in Galway on granny duties. A bit of gardening (it's a rented house so nothing radical will be done) including a visit to a local nursery to buy home-grown spring bedding to brighten things up. My knowledge of the Winnie the Pooh stories has been polished up, and Peppa Pig and Thomas the Tank Engine have been thoroughly played with.
The one-year-old generously shared her cold with me, but I expect to be out in the garden tomorrow, once I've visited Mum. Kill or cure...
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
Thank you Edd - I understand and appreciate your kind thoughts - along with everyone else here, you've all been very kind
Great news Matty - onwards and upwards
BL, take it easy and get well soon
Everyone else with aches, pains, sprains, lurgies or sadness - have a load of ((hugs))
It's so lovely to see the hedgebanks full of primroses as I drive through the countryside at the moment. Hope you see lots of them Pdoc - are you doing North Norfolk or Minsmere or one of the smaller reserves?
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Punkdoc to get you started just spotted a fellow like this on my newly cut grass, then he hopped onto the windowledge right in front of me, lovely morning surprise.
Enjoy your trip.

Done a lot of pricking out of babies in the GH. Lots more to do though, especially petunias and lobelias.
Hosta is this it? Looks great. I'd wondered about one, but then managed to get spare part for my tractor mower, which they've stopped making.

think it will probably go off sideways though.

I knew there'd be a proper way of posting it . Thanks Lizzie. Yeah, that's the baby. Should have it in about a week.
Evening all.
Lovely afternoon in the garden, quite warm eventually.
Am off down to Doves neck of the woods for a couple of days bird watching.
See you later.

Edd, you sound like a man with a heart of gold.

Dove hope yesterday went ok.
Like most people on here juggling lots of gardening tasks with everything else but beginning to see the light a bit now.
See you all later.
