    Good day

haven't been about so apologies, shouldn't be here now either but a quick pop in

I see Pressies shopping is well underway, and cards are being written. I haven't written mine yet. Have put up a couple of decorations , but we'll get the tree next week so then it will be full blown Christmas here.

Leaves everywhere, well they were but the BIG wind blew them all into someone elses garden otherwise I'd be raking leaves today

I have had an eye problem for a week or so and have not much vision in one eye at moment. Bright lights (typing on a white ground) make it hurt. I have bad eyesight anyway. Good though, phoned optician Tuesday, saw Optician Wednesday, referred me to hospital and was there on Thursday. I had symptons of detached retina but thank fully it is a very large floater (obstructing my vision) and it is pulling on the retina but as yet is Ok and should in time settle down. Bad enough though for me, not to be able to drive!!!

So have I missed anything important?

    Got to go, sorry.

  • Oh Matty - I had a similar problem a few months back - scared me stiff but the opthamologist was able to reassure me and all is well now -  the symptoms have cleared up.  Hope yours does too.  Take care of yourself ((hugs)).

Afternoon all. Am supposed to be doing house prep for the great decorating marathon but am doing sneaky catching up of all the TV I've missed whilst galavanting about image

Am up to speed with Strictly, Jungle and X Factor! Just the soaps to go!!

I have just remembered to set the machine to record the new garden programmes on BBC2 tomorrow at 7pm - and since I nearly forgot, thought I would remind you all too imageimage

  • Cheers Chicky - I might need reminding tomorrow as well! image

  • Well, that's all the bulbs in - Yay! image  25 hyacinth were also delivered by the postman while I was planting them in the front garden so had to find room for those too.image

Also repotted some Stargazer lillies which badly needed it - had a real job separating them as some campanulas had self-sown themselves into the pot so there was a huge tangle of roots.

I've just spotted a box of chocolate liqueurs the OH got in for Christmas - think I might have to nip to the shops tomorrow for replacements! image

You deserve the chocs having planted that lot Bob.

Amazing sunset here tonight. The fens are good for sunsets, I wish I was good with a camera.

Matty, I've been there with the eyes as well. No lasting sight problem for me. I hope it's the same for you
