My Agastache Blue Boa looks like a handful of dead sticks. Thanks to Verdun, image, I bought Blue Boa and Black Adder last autumn. As I have never kept an Agastache in the flower borders through winter, I potted them on and put both in a cold frame. Black Adder never lost all it's leaves, which are rather pale green now, but it is making new darker heart shaped leaves with serrated edges. Blue Boa has died down completely and I'm wondering if, or when, it will show.

Edd's photo has arrived, Black Adder's leaves are more sharply serrated than that.

Well, if Blue Boa is hardier then Yvie and I just need to wait a little longer perhaps. I don't have any fresh new leaves to rub.

Garden Girl, yes loads of tiny weeny petunias are up, all 4 varieties, but the trailing ones were slightly later.

    Hello everyone!

Never managed to grow Agastache here, though I've tried a few times cos it's lovely.  I guess West Yorks is just not mediterranean enough...  image  It's taken me over 50 years of gardening to realise that sometimes I have to admit defeat, and "go with the flow", growing the plants which want to grow in my situation, not necessarily the ones I like best.  But the good thing is that I've learnt to love plants I'd overlooked before.  image

Just off out to see Mum.  image

Thanks for the help, I'll know what to keep an eye out for now.  It's Verdun's fault that I decided to give Agastache a go.  He kept showing photos and they looked so lovely.  It's Verdun's fault that I have given a few ornamental grasses a try too.  I've got Briza Media growing from seed and I bought Carex Fishers Form and Everest.

Hello folks - we're home from visiting the Aged Ps who were ok, all things considered.  Ma liked her card and Pa liked the bowl of primroses and teta a tetes.  There was a rugger match going on outside the window so lots to watch image  When their lunch was ready we left and went down to the harbour to watch the seagulls and a seal while we ate our picnic.  Now we're home we feel dozy - a combination of bread for lunch and the 'fresh' sea air image

We saw lots of banks of wild primroses on the journey - on my trip earlier in the week there were only a few.

Hope everyone's having a lovely day image
