Now I'm concerned about the tomatoes you suggest blight might be on the cards Verdun. Outside ones are a path away from the potato bed so are they more vulnerableimage then there's the GH ones do you reckon if I keep the door closed and relie on the Windows only for ventilation i might get away with it. Don't talk to me about blackbirds feasting no gooseberry crumbles or strawberries and ice cream here image they sing a lovely song though spose we can't have it allimage

Hope your w/e went ok Clari  and your day out dove

    Good morning all image

    Wonder where Pdoc is now?

We had a lovely day yesterday - waaaaaaaaaaay too much food at the picnic as usual, so it was all shared out and taken home - don't think I need to go food shopping for a week!  The weather was kind to us and there was only one downpour and that was as we were packing up - we all crammed into our friends' campervan for the duration.image

We didn't get back until really late (well, late for us anyway) and as OH  doesn't work Mondays we'll spend a slow day today image

This morning is damp ad overcast which is what is forecast for the next few days, until it starts to warm up for the weekend again image

    Morning all.

Glad you had a good day Dove, so did we. Beth Chatto's garden was lovely, a damp garden with ponds and a dry gravel garden. But why did I think it would be bigger? Website said 7 acres but it didn't feel so big. Bought a very blue sea holly, a salvia I haven't seen before, a spirea with red flowers and Solanum Glasnevin. Then we went to another nearby private garden called Green Islands, where they do garden course days. Lovely too. I bought a lysimachia "Beaujolais" - Verdun's fault!

Then we went to Dedham, very pretty village, lovely church, and Flatford Mill where Constable painted "The Hay Wain". The heavens opened and we got soaked!

    Good morningimage

You managed to fit a lot into one day Lizzieimage.  You have made some nice purchases but remember you have to get your luggage in the car tooimage.

Glad your picnic went well Dove, apart from the downpour.  I feel like having a quiet day too but there's little chance of that.

Hooe all the workers have as good a day as possibleimage

    Morning all.

Drizzle here too but gives a great excuse to spend some much needed time in tunnels.

Off to see the Boss Physio guy this morning to see what wonders he can work on The Knee!

Aching badly this morning after over 7 hours of deliveries without a single break all day.

Correction from last week. I've got 14 new hostas, not 16 ( I've already got 2 of them, oops image )

Hey ho, one can never have too many. I bumped into the owner of " The Hanging Hosta Garden" in Hants, he told me they now have over 1,500 different varieties and over 120 different day lillies. I feel so inadequate .

Enjoy the much needed rain one and all.

    Devon.
