Good morning Wintersong and Dove. We seem to have a light sprinkling of snow this morning but the birds are singing their heads off
Dove if you are doing gardening and cookery books today I predict lots of sitting for a quick browse through most of them. Hope you feel a bit better soon.
Lizzie what a shame about your grandson's abscess. No wonder he's feeling so ill. Ice-cream sounds a good way to go.
The forum was a bit odd yesterday and I lost a post when I eventually managed to load the page. I gave up in the end. Chicky thanks for letting us know about fairy
Morning all! Got a 02:30 finish at work to day with a ghost hunt so I'm trying to make the most of my lay in... after I got up to make tea, let the dog out, it doesn't seem to be going well.
Looks like a beautiful morning today. I'm going to write myself a to do list for the garden and leave it somewhere obvious so darling doesn't-get-up-to-make-me-tea can prepare himself for some serious hard graft. There are several BIG JOBS he's offered that I would now like to cash in! Don't worry: there will also be a to scale CAD drawing to ensure its all going to fit in: after years surveying I really struggle to draw free hand!
Good morning all, sunny 4C and light frost overnight.
Dove hugs get well soon same to all who are poorly and have poorly OH's.
Lizzie hope GS feels better soon, ice cream I might just have the start of a throat complaint
Pdoc hope the engineer arrives promptly.
Chicky TY for update on Fairy
Lesley I think you might be correct about Dove and her books, it takes me half a day to just dust a book case, I was the same when I had to tidy my toy cupboard
Morning, been a dusting of snow here. Cold again, i am beginning to shrivel up
ice cream for sore throats best cure definitely, poor wee chap
Taking OH back for post op check then a wee trip " down the valley" where all the garden centres are. OH needs more potatoes, i didn't get enough I am going see if I can find Verdun s geranium hocus pocus which sounds lovely, also looking for a new clematis for tree which has been hard pruned
Have a good day everyone
glad too to gear Fairy ok

Missed you all yesterday, Charlie on school hols so I am very much in demand, nice to be needed I suppose.
We walked Shadow for hours, pond dipping and tree climbing as we went, obviously not in a straight line at all. Had to buy Charlie some new shoes too and as we went to pay found out it was bogof day so he got a bonus pair. Did consider for a moment geting the second pair for me but his excitement at having a red and a blue pair was irresistible, I am such a soft touch.
Cat is now driving me mad refusing to go out at all, I have been putting him out the kitchen door and seconds later he is in the cat flap around the other side of the house. He can obviously use the flap to get in, can't understand why he won't go out of it, or even out at all, very out of character, used to be out all night, now he just keeps waking me up.
Very windy out there, going to go check for any damage, fingers crossed. although I expect my obelisk is over (again). Need to rethink it.
Sorry to hear about your washer punkdoc, always something isn't there.
Good day to all, hope to catch up again later.

I'm off to the bank today, to get dads name taken off all the joint accounts, and get his isa moved. Everything is in joint names with mum except the isa. I hope they dont make us go through probate for just that. Some banks will, and some wont.
Next job is a granny bond.
Then the house is to be put in mums sole name and registered at the land registry.
I'm told that isnt strictly necessary yet, but it will make it easier after mum dies. It was never registered, because dad bought a piece of land, dug out the foundations by hand, then got a builder to put up the shell. The rest, including building the garage, he did himself. The other thing were doing is registering powers of attorney. It came in very useful for himselfs mum, when the powers that be tried to decide what was best for her. This way, the family decides and the key workers, social workers, council and the rest ,dont get to make decisions.
DD do you think the cat has been frightened by something outside, rather than dislike of the flap? Wonder about making a cardboard tunnel to put outside the flap so it doesn't have to go straight outside and be exposed, it could settle in the tunnel, assess the situation and then venture out when brave.
Bit of a frost this morning, but sun trying to poke through the clouds.
Awful nights sleep, woke up about 1.30, just laid there for ages so got up for a cuppa and went back up about 4.30. But still woke up about an hour ago. So a lazy day for me feeling very fuzzy at the mo.
Hope all poorly peeps feel better today.
DD, I think your pusscat just does't fancy being out at the mo, perhaps he's wanting to see how much fuss Shadow gets.
Off for a cuppa, see you later peeps. Have a good day x

Heavy frost, but looks sunny. Had to scrape ice off car to go to SM.
Washing machine packed in, so lots of waiting around for them to come and hopefully fix it.
Hopefully get some more gardening done.
