Evening everyone.Grandchildren gone home with their dad. That's the last of my Granny duties for this week.
I wonder if our OH's would say if we did anything weird in bed.I bet mine would complain about my snoring. Or the fact that sometimes if he comes later to bed than me he sometimes wakes me up and I end up getting up as I can't go back to sleep.
I am glad Dove that I am not the only one with a lot of books. I do only have 2 floor to ceiling book cases plus 2 smaller ones and a couple of shelves on a dresser.
Have a relaxing evening everyone and hope you get rid of your nasty colds. They certainly seem to be hanging on this year. Still got a cough from a couple of months ago.
Can anyone post a link to Stacey's chillies from seed thread. I remember she said to soak the seeds in cold tea overnight ( which I am doing ) but would love to refresh my memory on her , and indeed everyone else's , tips.
Panda fancy you remembering my visit - you looked adorable.
Rb what dahlias magically appeared at your house? It really is amazing how these plants creep in
Bekkie I'll have to get cracking at doing something at home because it looks as though I'll be going back down next Friday as Mum's got a date for her gall bladder op.
Now I see why it's taken you so long to put all the books back Dove. It's nearly half past wren so I'm off for a soak in the bath before settling on the sofa.
2nd daughter and 3 small grandsons arrived after all. Smallest was sick in the car, thrust in bath on arrival. Oldest (9) looked awful, think he could have what I have, made appointment with local doc for tomorrow. Their doctor said he had a cold and wouldn't treat him, but he has a high temperature.
I have a friend with a bird clock like Dove's.
I've had notifications again, can't remember how long ago the previous one was.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
What a lovely clock Dove, I never tire of bird song in the garden although I barely recognise anything beyond blackbird so it would be confused o'clock all day
How lovely to have a visiting robin on your gardening coat tails punkdoc. I remember a very tame one a few years back but not so much recently
Well done Yvie for taking care of the plants you have instead of buying more
Obviously some of us have enjoyed our gardens today, sorry for those still suffering sniffles or snow and frost. It's really mild this evening for Flynn's walk and I've been admiring all my hard work this week. No more rubbish lying around like eyesores, but beautiful weed free soil in beds and borders. I'm still undecided about so many PPPs but all in good time.
Evening all, just a quick peek in, what a busy lot you are. BL, you sound much better, hope the grandchildren not too bad but at least they can be spoiled by you.
Been into Lidl today to see roses and clematis, white climbing rose is only clue to description but looked green and healthy, Mrs. Bateman clematis, what does anyone think, worth a chance, only ???2,50? Rose is going in north facing spot, clematis partial shade, or would be if brave enough to buy from Lidl.
Cat has nearly been evicted today, still refusing to go out of cat flap despite coming in OK and decided my seed trays ( on warm under heated floor) looked like a litter tray, never used a litter tray but worked that out far quicker than cat flap! Live & learn.
Rained all day so house gleaming, poor dog has been banned from wagging his tail too, think he is losing his winter coat, good job we love these pets deep, deep down !
Good night to all, sleep well and get rid of all the germs!

Had an evening game of tennis with Reggie before it got dark: lots of spring bulbs are starting to appear! Hurrah! Some even where I remember planting them!
Not sure whether I should say good morning or good evening. Have been to bed but couldn't sleep, aching too much from moving compost and pots. Unfortunately that led to me browsing plant porn, which in turn led me to buy just a few little starter plants for my pots.
Now the pain killers have kicked in I might try and get a few hours sleep.
See you all in the morning, or should I say later today.
Have got up early to cook chicken for him to take to work, yully but can hear the birds singing their hearts out, so its worth it
Hope you got some sleep Yvie x. My doc has given me some very strong ibuprofen (800mg) but they seem to last the night and i dont wake up because of the pain so much, dunno if it would be suitable for you
DD, sorry about your seeds, but that did make me chuckle! Crafty little devils arent they, i would love to know what goes on in their heads!
BL, sorry to hear little ones are poorly, im sure nanny will make them feel better, hope they shake it off soon
Clarington, you sound happy must be the reggie effect. I put sticks in the ground when i want to remember something is growing there, it does mean i dont know whats growing, but at least i dont dig it up by accident!
Lesley, look at it this way, at least your mum will have been operated on and hopefully fully recovered before the growing season really gets going!, tidy cupbords are nice, but cupbords have doors for a reason....to hide the mess!. Did you have any luck convincing your dad about the dangers of growing beans?
LP, ignore the gremlins! I suspect "they" might be trying different things with the system, there has been lots of people having difficulty. It does drive you nuts when you loose a post though!
Winter, your enthusiasm is contagous! You should be proud of yourself, youve done loads!
Just trying to figure out how to remove a large dead cherry tree, without a saw! Wondering if its so rotten i will be able to dig the roots out, think its reasonably shallow rooted! Eeek

Since returning from holiday the site just doesnt seem to want to recognise me. I am not getting notifications and have to sign in every time.
maybe trying to tell me something!
So, before gremlins strike again, to one and all hope you had good day and sleep tight
Stay safe
