    Evening all.

Forementioned 19 year old rugby player didn't turn up for work this morning.

Why did everyone say " what did you to do him??????"

He's transferring from another store, so we didn't have his contact details. After much phone calling etc, we got his number. He'd forgotten what time he was starting.

Very decent chap but I did have to take the wheel as he was just a little slow, but he'll get there.

Day off tomorrow with OH . Clearing stuff from the tunnels is order of the day.

Have a lovely weekend one and all.

    Evening all.

Been a very busy day here today: I have at least manage to water the greenhouse occupants. Looks like the strawberries wont be long in ripening. Hurrah!

Reggie is booking in for blood tests on Monday: his trip to the vets today (check up) was marked by his peeing on the vets table, the reception desk, the door, and he almost got a small dog. I've told the vets enough of treating the symptoms lets see what's actually wrong: he seemed surprised as his is the most expensive route. If I was worried about money I wouldn't be dragging him back like a spoilt single child the moment he so much as sneezed out of place.

Working all weekend so I hope you all don't mind if I leave my weeding for you!

I'll do your weeding Clari, I've not had too much myself with most of the garden under landscape matting or 4 inches of bark chippings image

Although i might not be much good at it. I have neglected to tackle a sapling growing under my Ceanothus bush in the front garden. Last time I looked I was meant to deal with it as it's right beside the house wall but I forgot and two years later it's huge. It's a great shame since it looks like an oak but it's got SBK written all over it now image

Good Evening All, finally managing to post from laptop - seems Chrome was preventing me so I have had to switch to Internet Explorer - took OH 2 minutes to work out problem, just all week to actually look and try and help. image image

Sorry to read about poorly peeps (& dogs) & cold weather.

Hope you have a super day tomorrow Fidget all as planned and exactly how you want it.imageimage

An old friend of mine is getting married tomorrow and the whole thing seems to have taken two years to plan and has been the only topic of conversation for the same amount of time, all a bit too much for me but everyone is entitled to do it their own way.

I am going to start a thread like BL for my Open Day as that seems to be my only topic of conversation/every waking thought at the moment - I am really wishing I hadn't entered - although everyone says don't worry I do - I know what it should look like but I am a long way from that still, worried people will be disappointed or be over critical, also worried no one will come or too many will come, also have thing growing in my main bed that I now think are weeds - will also put on another thread for ID. imageimage

Finally, just to get it off my chest (sorry all) OH is driving me mad, has hardly come out of his office for days and when he does he either wants food or manages to criticise my efforts be it housework or garden work - if he is not careful he will be buried in the garden soon!

Goodnight all and sorry for rant. imageimage

Thanks, Panda, Lizzie, Lesley, LilyP and all - eye diagnosis was a bit depressing to start with, but I'm sure you're all correct to say it's very treatable.  Just a bit of a pain until it's deemed bad enough to operate.  And LilyP - I'm not really 27!  A bit younger than average to develop cataracts maybe, but definitely no longer a spring chicken.  image

I'll get some horticultural therapy over the weekend if the weather clears up.  It's definitely the best thing to make me think straight.  image

DD, this is the ideal place for a rant.  image  Getting things off one's chest definitely helps!

Hello DD. I'm feeling a bit guilty as I think I told you about the Garden Open Day scheme in the first place.

I had problems with Chrome too and use Internet Explorer without problems, perhaps it's a Dordogne thing!

I bet most people who look round the gardens don't know what's a plant and what's a weed anyway! When another friend opened her garden and people asked her what plants they were and she had forgotten the names she made up names!

Ah Lizzie - I will hold you totally responsible then. image Just frustrated really because I have been so busy with the B&B & friends visiting that I just haven't had the time to do all the things I wanted, six months ago all seemed possible - going to think of it as a before & after experience, although not sure I will do it again next year. image

    Good morning all image

Glorious morning here, full of birdsong and sunshine - let's hope it's the same for Fidget (see thread for Fidget's Big Day!)

Dd, it'll be fine - it really will - all most people want is the chance to wander in a garden and have a nice cup of tea and a scone or slice of cake - and the real gardeners will understand. image

Lots of gardening done here yesterday - the birds are a bit confused as some (small) shrubs have been moved image

Wonky's still asleep at the moment, but there'll be a big breakfast, bacon, eggs, black pudding, tomatoes and fried bread available when she wakes - ready for more gardening before I take her back to the station at teatime image

    Morning All,

A full day in the garden today ahead, just glad to have a chance. Least the weather is looking good unlike some of you poor cold people over there.

Nice week-end all and especially Fidget - congratulations. imageimage
