A very nice seafood salad has been eaten, well I do have a big piece of chocolate cake to eat later and two boxes of Geezers have appeared in the fridge
The rain held off but was replaced by a cold wind so I didn't stroll too long at GC..gotta be careful at my age
Last year on my birthday I got Mrs.Betty Ranicar hellebore so thought I'd get another, start a birthday tradition picture to follow, it isn't a spectacular one but I wanted a contrast and loved the colour that hopefully it will be, it has one flower starting to open
It should look well with these and one day they will have a place in the garden
Update. Xray done, results go to Hospital electronically then off the GP on Monday. Depending what is seen, they'll either send me for a MRI scan, or book little keyhole procedure to remove cartilage.
Stopped in at a Wyevale GC on way home and bought some seeds . Buy one get one free on all seeds folk. Bargain.
Thanks for all the tips on catflap. It is activated by his microchip and unfortunately makes a loud click when it unlocks which sends him back 3 paces and of course by the time he gets near again it is locked and does the same thing all over again. Will have a go at all suggestions and see what happens.
Shadow is staying with a friend, she has two dogs but they have been spending time together and seem to be getting along although one was a bit scared by his big red collar on Wednesday. It is coming off Monday though and we don't go until Monday after.
1st trailer load of garden rubbish gone to the tip but raining now so called it a day. Shadow walked & Charlie came too so extra long as trees have to be climbed enroute.
OH is being especially good at the moment, came to SM, helped in garden and is planning to again over the week-end and has now booked a table in local restaurant for tonight to make up for Valentine's night - don't want to appear ungrateful but am feeling a little suspicious, totally out of character - if he brings flowers there will be an inquisition.
Sounds like a lovely birthday Kef and lovely flowers, enjoy the rest of it.
Hope you are feeling bit better Dove.
Right now to find something decent to wear.

DD just accept being loved but make sure he has his wallet
Runny no party without you, just a little party for two Cava being opened and will sit in the conservatory and after a few suggest to OH what new beds I need digging for this coming year sure he'll agree it is my b/d
Hope all enjoy their evening & yippee it's the weekend, soz to those that have to work.
Well I'm on my third pint of Pimms so...if there's a party, I think I'm it
Working the weekend as usual so I'll be reading but commenting less since its so much effort to think-type and make sense at the same time
Lovely choice of hellebore KEF and excellent tactics for getting your own way
well done to Hostafan1 for surviving hospitals and Yvie *superwoman* for being epic in the garden.
it's rained here all day without stopping even once. It's my fault, so very sorry about that but at least us gardeners have a helping hand watering in all our newly planted stuff.
Off now to cuddle OH. He's had to work to a deadline today whilst suffering a terrible sinus headache so he's in bed watching tv and I need to show him some expensive greenhouses to cheer him up
