Good luck Punkdoc, keep at it ( and yes, you should know better )
I am very jealous of the whole "pricking out and potting on" I hobbled around the polytunnels yesterday on crutches making a mental note of what I should have been doing.
Rather grey out there but seems a bit warmer today.
Hosta, take care and hope knee gets better soon.
Punkdoc, keep at it, think of all the plants you can buy. A friend of mine started using the electronic cigs a few months ago and she is doing very well. Hasn't had a proper one since. Apparently you can get all different flavours.
My snowdrops are gradually coming through. But there doesn't seem to be as many as I planted last year!
Morning all, beautiful here although a very hard frost, looks so pretty though.
Teaching this afternoon so lesson planning this morning, I am so slow at it, spend ages searching for stuff, shouldn't really but can't help myself, want it 'just right'. Topic today is 'wh questions'. "Why can't I buy all the plants and garden equipment I really, really need" would be my first question, unfortunately I already know OH's answer.
Have to go back into town too as when I went to pay the dentist yesterday with 'real money' they wouldn't take it, cheques only and I didn't have cheque book on me. Charlie has run around the playground this morning proudly showing off his filling, didn't quite get that it is not something to be proud of.
Perki, not your fault they left wet concrete lying around.
Hosta hope the knee eases up a bit.
Punkdoc good on you for trying to give up - my OH is still on the nicotine pastilles, 8 years after stopping smoking, sure he shouldn't be but at least it's not cigarettes.
Lovely doggie pic BM and I second everything you said in your very efficient & inclusive post.

It was on the news a few weeks ago about electronic cigs being addictive too. Also they are not sure now how safe they are either. But hopefully better than real ones. Another friend of mine stills chews a gum after quite s few years. My BIL is a dentist and says thats not good for teeth and gums.
I am off in the garden shortly and then I need to visit the pet store today which is opposite B&Q with it's garden section. How will I ever manage to stay away?
Maybe I should remind myself of all the homeless plants I still have at home?
Oh and I mustn't forget to pot up my chocolate cosmos and Liatris since they are shooting in their bags
Morning all, Very wet and rainy today, so no gardening. l don't think I could do much even if it was glorious sunshine. Aching everywhere, but the garden is looking good so that's OK.
No delivery of plants this morning, which is a good thing because Hubby said he was going to refuse to come downstairs and open the door. By the time I would have struggled down the delivery man would have disappeared.
Sorry your knee is still poorly Hostafan, don't get too impatient. You still have plenty of time to do all those jobs.
Pdoc, many moons ago my friend gave up smoking and everyday she put the cost of a packet if ciggies into a jar. They were much cheaper then but she still managed to buy a new dining set, a holiday and save the deposit for a new car. Not bad going. The more money she saw in the jar, the more determined she was not to start again.
Today I will be mostly doing H*******k. That's if I can get these weary bones moving
Oh BM, forgot to say the roses are Claire Austin, named after David Austin's daughter. A creamy white with a lovely smell. (just look like two sticks at the moment).

Runny lovely picture but it's made the blood run to my head

Thanks KEF.
Good morning everyone I've not said good morning to yet
Hostafan, sorry it's so painful - knees can be troublesome - hope it improves very soon.
Pdoc - good luck - think of all those plants! How long would it take you to save up for a new greenhouse?
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
