    Morning all.

Sorry to hear your news Dove.

Last day before OH heads "up country" to work during week. He's promised to weed around the pond and get rid of the flippin mimulus which seeds everywhere.

Payback is that I have to set up his new laptop he bought yesterday. ( he's a bit of a technophobe)

Have a good weekend one and all.

    Morning allimage

Heavy rain and thuderstorms here last night, but now all is calm.  Garden is drinking it all in, and looks much better for it (apart from a few flattened poppiesimage)

So sorry to read your sad news Dove - ((hugs)) for you and OH.  Hope Hosta's OH gets on well "up country", and that you both ease in to your new way of life ok.  Good to start in the summer - by the time the dark evenings come you will have forgotten what it was like to live any other way.

Glad to hear all is ready Woody - looking forward to seeing it all tomorrow.  I have my garden walking shoes ready for the Woodgreen marathonimage

Town for me and littlest chicklet today .....she needs to accessoriseimageimage

    Morning all

Just a bit of drizzle here, not ventured out of my pit yet image, needed it as I did a 9pm til 9am overnight sleeping shift during the week. But tbh I'd probably still be in bed anywa!

Got a canna tropicanas one black and one gold from B&Q, only place I could find any image so they can go in today.

What are your favourite scented flowers for small tubs?

  • Lavender, in a pot, next to the door so you brush past it going in and out. Neither fancy nor adventurous, but it does work.

Thanks Jimmyimage, the pots I have would be on the small side for a lavender. I was thinking more about bedding plants ( I know NOTHING about bedding plants but I'm trying to leave the garden alone and make this my new project this year)image

Nicotiana smell great in the evening, and are easy to get in GCs.  Stocks are lovely too, but I have always grown them from seed - not sure if the GCs sell them as bedding plantsimage
