I love that story archiepem. I only have my mum left out of all my relatives and sometimes I wished I had more reminders of family.

Woody I'd like it but it would only be bacon sarnies, would suit me but not the family image I do like "doing" but in my house, this year as for many "doin" at Mum's.

Archie that is lovely. We have a box ( old orange container cardboard one, with satsuma wrapping paper around each old baubles) from my MIL, don't use them as too fragile but look at them each year. H says they were on the tree for as long as he remembers and he's 61 now.

My Mum has old stuff, but not "ancient" and each year I lose a few and replace with nicer ones. She's happy with this, but won't part with a thing!

    Have a good evening all.

I survived planet Tesco. Got overcharged for three coffee at £4.99 each when I only had two. Got double back when I complained but it took ages.

Its now windy and raining heavy here. The internet went down for an hour, but is now back on. I don't understand why we have trouble with the internet when the weather is bad, as its underground cableimage

Evening all. That's my tree done image Glad I bought some twinkling lights this year. I love seeing them make the decs sparkle image

Matty, I am so sorry about your dog. Congrats with the weight loss. Ahead to remind myself you are a girl, not that boy's can't wear dresses, but. . . . image

It's nice that trees get decorated with family history and love. I hope that my decorations will receive that love too one day image

Lily, nothing like a surprise visit to warm the heart image

Hope your dog recovers a bit each day Matty, until he's back to normal. Wow, well done on the weight loss.

Put the tree up in it's stand, bit of a fiddle as the GC had hacked bits off it's trunk, but that's all as nice day. Gardened and planted the rest of the tulips. Better late than never!

  • Panda, you're so right, they may not be little anymore,  but they will always be 'my babies'. And it means so much to me when they just turn up, just because they want toimage
