I loved Larkise to Candleford as well. OH liked the postmistress.

My cold isn't really bad, just an ordinary one, but there will be 10 of us for Sunday lunch. Not bad enough to cancel it. Have made Moroccan chicken casserole, a tray of cooked sweet peppers and red onions, a loaf of bread and a huge raspberry mousse. There will be 10 of us. Have washed kitchen floor and covered terrace floor. Has taken ages. Must dust the dining room and set the table.

Then tonight we are going out for a curry evening. At least I don't have to cook tonight. OH isn't back from his all day choir workshop, practicing Haydn's Creation for the Easter Concert.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

RB it's not me getting muck Gg's got some, so's chicky, Liri ran after horses to get some and Bekkie's hoping for some.image  Perhaps I should keep goatsimage.

Sweet peas are now planted.  Didn't quite have enough toilet roll tubes and considered undercooking the chicken tonight but realised I could make paper onesimage.

Yvie it will be lovely to have the family there but try to pace yourself.

Bekkie - it's not easy draining spuds.  Poor wee soulimage

  • Hi All, Shadow feeling fine (I think), although being very clumsy with his hat on. He has been for two very long (but gentle) walks, both times the heavens opened just as I got as far away as I was going, my coat had only just dried out from first walk as it got it's second soaking. image

OH in bad books, had perfect opportunity to surprise/spoil me, Charlie on a sleepover with a friend this evening and OH had muttered something about going out for a meal. Turns out when he tried to book a table at 2pm this afternoon all restaurants were full - there's a surprise. image

Loved Larkrise too - it was Julia Sawalha.  The 'family' guy,(can't remember his name did well for himself becoming the Lord's valet in Downton Abbey - hope the rest of the family don't realise he's married againimage

  • Loved both those programmes too,  although not seen last couple of series of Downton. image

Never miss Downton, it's perfect tv when hubby is not at home.  Watching the rugby at the moment, I have to say despite the muscles most of them are real mingers. Not one on that Italien side comes even close to my Italien masseuse.  The way my muscles are aching at the moment I could do with giving him a call.
