    Weather here is,frankly, hellish image

Walking tomorrow I think Lesley - done enough 'summer' days in horizontal rain and wind. I don't need to be a hero at my age! image

I have a couple of blooms on clematis Niobe but forgot to get some pix yesterday.

Must take a look at the pix from your trip WWomble. image

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

Fairy - yes I do know what the weather's like, BUT, ironingimage

Gala day has been cancelled.  Hope they have insurance for tents, etc.  I feel sorry for the bands who turn out with kilts, bagpipes and brass instruments. No weeding is happening today.  Think I'll go for a lie down in a darkened roomimage

Jo, I can imagine how you felt with the dye coming out on the pramimage.  Everything was meant to last for ever then.  OH thinks everything lasts for ever nowimageimage

Afternoon all, don't know where the morning has gone, I've been mainly messing around on the forum and wondering around the garden doing nothing.  Sunny, cloundy, windy and a couple of very light short showers this morning, it seems the weather can't settle either.

Still have to visit mum and plant the Taxus Standishii that I bought last week but feeling very lazy.  Firstborn and grandaughters are descending on us later and staying overnight so I better get a move on.

Hope poorly peeps and moggies are feeling better.

    .... feeling very lazy. ...

Glad it's not just me Yvie - I've done the shopping, watering, filled the bird feeders, hung out two loads of washing, tidied the house and taken and potted some cuttings, and now I'm going to have a lazy afternoon with some knitting on the sofa  - I've had two days of keeping up with Wonky image

Supper will be a lazy Crab linguine and rocket salad - 15 minutes in the kitchen at the most. image

    Afternoon all.

    Had friends here last night.

OH made the most fabulous chicken and apricot Tagine, which went down very well.

After much chatting ,laughing, G&T , red and white wine we ended up giving in at 1.45am.

Lovely brunch and have just seen our friends off again. Lazy day and probably a siesta before tunnel watering duties then back to work at 8 tomorrow morning.

Enjoy the weekend one and all.

Mmmm!  Just googled that Hosta - was it this one? http://www.bbc.co.uk/food/recipes/chicken_and_apricot_97224   I've been wondering what to cook for a couple of OH's colleagues & their partners - sort of an informal getting to know you better supper - that's a definite possibility image

    and

Hmmm!  I was going to have a lazy afternoon on the sofa with some rubbish tv or a film (there's a James Steward one on) but NDN has started doing something noisy in his garage - sounds as if he's going through the garage floor with a cold chisel and lump hammer image  We're detached and there's a side pathway and wall between this house and their garage, but whatever he's doing it's pretty noisy.  They're usually a very, or even an extremely quiet couple, so I don't mind them doing some DIY on a Saturday afternoon, but it's just not going to be quite as relaxing as I'd hoped - c'est la vieimage

Dove we fell in love with tagines when we went to Marrakesh last year.

OH buys a Tagine sauce from Waitrose and he adds chicken , apricots, one chilli , one pepper and 6 tomatoes cut  in half.

He also does one with beef and prunes which is mega.
