I haven't been to our nearest big town, Plymouth, for 12 years, don't like towns.i am off to Morrisons this morning, they have opened a Tesco right opposite, won't be using that, Morrys much nicer, and they gave me a £10.00 voucher last week.

have good day everyone, weathers good today, rain tomorrow though, poor Dove!

Lily , yes bit of forward planning required!

Lyn, you made me laugh! I know I will be delighted to return home but I am meeting a friend I haven't seen for a very long time and I have been told of a car park that's only £5 for all day parking which means its cheaper than train!

best get going, have a nice dayimage

    Morning all.

Nice morning out there with a light breeze and "partly sunny" as they say.

24 hours before Lyn , OH, Dove and OH arrive.

Need to decide which bits need tidying most. image

Hubby reckons he'll be leaving Surrey around 1pm

    Almost the weekend.

Hosta! No need for anything special, and your garden is beautiful whatever you haven't done. We all have tatty bits out there at this time of the year, really no need to worry about anything.

Hope OH has a safe journey back down.

i have just texted  Dove, I wonder if they got caught in the rush hour traffic, hope not!!

Verdun, thank you very much for the offer of a bit of the Stainless Steel Aconitum

SGL, we never take out milk out of the freezer until we have run out, it's a bit like putting a new toilet roll on, seems to be a job OH just can't find out how to do!

the milk then gets put in a bowl of warm water, within seconds there's enough for a cuppa.

As I only get to the shops once a week to ten days, it has to go in the freezer.image

RB - re the oilseed rape in flower - I missed your post and just saw what Clari had written. It's not something I've seen before - although perhaps I have and don't remember....image

Can't freeze milk as I only use the skinny milk in the red cartons. image

Hosta - calm down! image   If you play your cards right - Lyn and Dove will help you weed - I'm sure they'll have suitable clothing with them...image

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

Afternoon all,  I'm with you Jo, porridge is just vile, even the thought of it makes me feel ill.

RB hubby is doing OK.  He can see through his eye but everything is still very blurred but he has to go back in to have an oil bubble removed from behind the retina, it's used to  keep pressure on the retina to encourage it to stay in place. Hoping that his sight will clear once this is removed.

I'll be visiting mum this afternoon and then moving on to another hospital to have my knee xrayed.

Popped to the garden centre today and picked up a few violas to fill a gap and then went to see secondborn who is home from work not feeling too good.

On nanna duty again tomorrow, at least I don't have to leave little one at nursery so I can get lots of cuddle.  When I drove home yesterday I had gone about 10 miles when I realised I was still listening to Mabel's Rythm time CD. It was only when they said 'have you screwed your listening ears on nice and tight' that the penny droppedimage Note to self, put some 'adult' music in the car.
