Clarington, you could always put him on rabbit food as well. Caring and sharing...

Fidget - since he needs to loose some weight I did suggest he tried this super healthy diet or at least ate the same as me and then embellished it a little with crusty breads and cheese and things . He was not impressed and wouldn't even consider supporting me!! (I think he's got pizza and chips tonight).

Clari, glad you are getting sorted and look on the bright side, only 14 days and you can send your OH to his man shed to prepare his food image

Looks like I am joining you on the diet bit anyway, I really need to lose some weight and I believe the tiredness that I keep getting is food related too, docs can't find anything else at the moment so can't think what else it could be image

Ha ha! I may well be doing! He's already said he intends on setting up the camping stove in there so he can drink as much tea as he desires.

You know you'd be amazed how much food affects you. Some days I can't physically fit more than 400 calories in my body (damn vegetables being so healthy - I've only managed more a 1000 calories once) but yet I feel absolutely fantastic and the tiredness I normally get in an evening has completely gone, I'm also sleeping better through the night which makes a big difference. Its certainly worth suggesting to your doctor that food might be an issue so that you can work out a plan of action to see what might be triggering things. Good luck!! image

Have to admit Clari, my alcohol intake is going up whilst I am crocked, I find it the best pain killer.

Punkdoc - I've had more than my fair share of painkillers, had morphine til I considered the hallucinations (a solitary blue balloon in the corner of my vision) normal, I even had one that I had to make weekly trips into the doctors with to have my "supply" counted by a very grumpy nurse because I was told that they very rarely gave it to people outside of hospital as it had a "very profitable retail value to those that liked to dabble in illegal pleasures of the up your nose variety" (found it a bloody horrible drug to be honest!)... All sorts of nasty cocktails that I'm sure did my body no good and the best thing I have ever found is alcohol.

You don't need a lot so there's never a worry about hang overs but it helps not just kill the pain but relax your entire body so that you're not constantly tensing up scared that the next time you move you'll make the pain worse. My physio even used to suggest I have a pint or two before some sessions to help my body relax enough to enable him to put it in positions I'm damn sure it never went into before the accident much less wanted to be in afterwards.

Final count down for home time but I think the smog might curtail and wandering around the garden tonight!

Pdoc you go steady, I'm also great at looking.

    Hugs to other poorly peeps.

Clari, herbs, for this year just grow some in pots like I do and have them near the kitchen door.

MrsGarden PM'd you. Don't know about euphorbia cuttings other than keep dannies away from sap. image

    This morning I was 5'3" tall tomoz' I will be 5'5" .

Does anyone want a "free to a good home" undergardener who chucks a fork full of well rotted, wet, manure on your head ? LOL think he got a bit giddy.

Clari, hugs and glad you are feeling the benefit of all your salad / veg, love mine.

What sort of euphorbia.? I propagate E. griffithii from lumps of root with a shoot attached. Some of the other sort like characias, dip the shoot in sand to stop it bleeding all over and then try gritty compost.

LOL KEF, sorry I had to smile but also have to admit that it is the sort of thing my OH would do image

Clari, poor you with no support, that's a shame.  I know I've had the odd moan about my OH with the GH etc but he is quite supportive. It's a shame he can't see the bigger picture.  Anyway, you know you have our support xx

Thank you Orchid.  I can't complain too much about him - he needs to keep his strength up. Not only has he got to lay the base for my new green house but I've decided I want the existing one rotating 90 degrees and repainting so he'll have to lay a new base for that one too image

Tonight is homemade hummus and homemade crisps to spice up my diet a little!  You'd be amazed what ideas you can come up with on even the most limited of selections.
