Disaster has struck! My outdoor tomatoes have blight. They looked OK 2 days ago. Have soaked them in fungicide but I'll probably have to burn them. Just when family are coming to stay in 2 weeks. It's been so cool here recently, usually in the high 20s.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Oh no Lizzie I have put a post on tonight about my indoor toms and a problem, that could be blight and I'm not sure what to do at the moment but very fed up because I thought I'd done so well for my first year and it seems not It also seems that I've lost almost all my plums as well as my pears and no idea why.......fed up
Thanks Lizzie, I really hope so. I will be keeping a very close check on them for the next few days. Can it affect my cucumbers and aubergines in the GH too?
I think I'm more fed up because I thought the 'hard' part was done and I would get lots of lovely veg......it's not really happening that way So far I've lost several courgettes, have no squashes to speak of as they are all rotting, broccoli has gone wrong, I've had no fruit apart from 1 strawberry, lost all my pears almost all my plums and all my currants I've had a few courgettes though, 3 cucumbers (but they seem it have stopped producing) and green beans, hopefully tomorrow I will have some potatoes (fingers crossed).
It's a lot harder than you think and people that don't grow anything apart from grass don't really get it

Saw yours OL, not blight, blossom end rot, curable with correct watering. Mine is usually fatal.
Where did Stacey put her pics?
Our tumbling toms are doing very well, but our other tom plants look a bit naff. Wondered why perhaps thats whats wrong with ours
Found Stacey's pics on previous page. I clicked on "view first unread post" and it took me to this page, but I hadn't seen some of the last page yet.
Lizzie - Staceys pics are a couple of pages back on this thread.....
Now it's started a new page, just to confuse things.
Thanks Chicky, seen them
