  • Runnybeak, it IS very like holly.  We used to get given it in plant IDs at college, to confuse us - the only way you could tell the difference between osmanthus heterophyllus and holly was the way the leaves grew up the stems (see above, if you're interested... sorry!).  Your osmanthus with the small leaves was probably delavayi, and yes, the flowers smell gorgeous!  Wish I could grow it here but it's too cold.  image

Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

Good morning Bekkie and all those coming soonimage

Hope your greenhouse arrives soon.  I need to get a replacement cover for mine as it's full of holes where the plastic has disintegrated.  Not much protection there.  A trip to B&Q is on the cards this morning for compost and door handle.  I wonder if I'll get tempted by anything elseimage.  OH will only go on a Wednesday to get his discountimage

    Nice plants there Pandaimage

Was brought a really thick clear plastic one years back which is still going except the door, im really hoping this new one will be as good image, nothing wrong with waiting for discount day....they dont quite understand when we need something NOW do theyimage

Yes Bekkie it's one with little squares.  It's only the outline of the squares that are holding it together.  All it's doing is providing a windbreakimage.  Good luck at the gym.  I just typed good lick againimage.  Lily pointed out that I sound like someone from Allo Allo so I will say this only onceimage

  • Morning all.

    Morning all image

Can't seem to stop yawning this morning, head full of PPPs (possible planting positions)

To move or not to move, that is the question.

Some plant need a  better spot but their growing larger every season and well, I haven't thought of where to move them too yet image. I don't mind leaving them in bags until I find the place, I've got an exposed kniphofia sitting on my patio since autumn, it's still alive despite the frostings, it won't suffer before spring but where to put it?image
