Quick post from me ongoing debate with call centre in India about EE broadband speed, senior person calling back and no doubt need to keep switching pooter on & off image as have been doing all afternoon image

Runny so sad for you image big hugs. Doesn't matter what animal is killed if you have feelings for them it is a big loss.

Verdun I'm pleased to hear that Mum's funeral went well as could do, hugs to you and family.

Happy 16th birthday little chicklet image no need to save me any cake I'm cutting down image

See you all tomorrow if India don't cut me off image

How bizarre that my earlier post is spamming itself?image

I've bought most varieties from my not so local GC Fidgetbones although it's gone downhill since first opening back in the naughties.

The only Raymond Evison I have is Josephine image which I adore. I will check new varieties, its always been splendid and healthyimage

My list to plant include Miss Bateman (large) Brunette x2 (just because i loved that oneimage) Margaret Hunt, Wesselton and pope john II and nun's gift so far.

I really need something to soften my Paul scarlet rose in cream or green. I also have 3 cuttings hanging about sans labels image

  • Runnybeak, really sorry about your goose, poor thing. My friend has just moved her last chicken & her ducks into a stable because of the foxes, has lost two this week. Nature can be very cruel sometimes. image

BL, also sorry to hear about Tigger, sounds very worrying, good sign that he has been referred though, vet must feel positive about treatment. image

Verdun, glad funeral went as well as could be expected, never an easy thing.

Such a lot of sad news on here today, hugs for everyone having problems, big or small. Perhaps a piece of carrot cake might help, it is a Hairy Dieter recipe, or it was until I put the frosting on. image

Charlie highly recommends it, but he has worked hard for it, been playing with Shadow in the garden for ages, snowball fights & snow chasing - don't ask image. Lovely rosy cheeks to show for it too. He did eat all his veggies first btw.

OH is also under strict instructions to fix my trellis too, although that was in September. image

Verdun, glad to hear you are OK and that the service was OK.

RB, so sorry to hear about your pet, it's suprising what characters they can be.  Secondborn was terrified of Francis, the goose at her riding stables, even though she could manage the biggest horses at the farm.

Wintersong, you seem to be having a right old groundhog day.

Just started to warm up in front of a roaring fire, although for some reason my feet are still cold.

The takeaway has just arrived.  catch up with you later.

Oh dear, silly me but I thought that's what the refresh was for!imageimage

Runnybeak you've just made me well up while reading your post aloud to OH.

That's not a bad thing since I believe that a shared grief allows the one who passed to feel more warmth and love. Man or beast.

You caught a nerve too,  my son phoned late last night, inconsolable about the loss of his pet Cockatiel.

The shape we are, the breed, the height or notimage fur or flesh or feathers...who are we to judge their importance or relevance in this world? I am deeply sorry for your loss.

    Verdun,  glad it went well

    BL, hope it's nothing

    DD, you are magnificentimage
