Hello all, nice and sunny today must go feed the birds

Pain here wind keeps making the boiler flame go off so not really any hot water or much heat as we keep having to put the thing back on constantly

KEF arm not too bad think my leg is a bit sore from jumping on and off my table to wash the window, looks good in the sun today so when I sow seeds they should have enough light

Bekkie know what you mean about dangerous house cleaning few year back I tidied a few trays and one of those silver thing tray with spikes that chicken sit on, on top of the oven with high grill right at top later I moved the grill pan and damn thing fell off I tried to get out the way but it was supper fast and walloped my left foot really bad agony bruised, later on got an x ray as was still painful damaged my ligament and still plays up in winter when really cold

I get to go and get my potatoes today there will be so many to choose from

DD glad you got home ok.  You have had more exercise than you expected this morning so you can indulge yourself a bit.  If you didn't get the car started how are you going to get it back?

I once saw a wildlife film where foxes were eating blackberries and other fruits.  It seems to be a natural behaviourimage.  I think you're always better ignoring the fruit low down Verdunimage

Well done Pdoc - I was getting worried that you may starve out thereimage

Bekkie it's good to hear that Poppy has settled in with your Mum so quickly.  How old is she?  Certainly landed on her feet nowimage

We're just about to set off for Edinburgh to meet sil and bil for a late lunch and liquid tea so may not see you later.

  • Just ran home BL, only 4 miles but not great after just doing 5. It was the immobiliser that was the issue, managed to get in with the manual key through back door, but needed the remote bit to switch off immobiliser. I did read the manual whilst sitting there stranded but remote is the only way it said. Worse thing is it is not even our car, ours is still waiting for parts to arrive. OH is going to go with a friend to collect it armed with a a paperclip. image

Becky that new dog of your mum's has dropped very lucky. image

BK get on with the homework, just get it done for goodness sake (am an ex-teacher, can you tell?) image

Verdun, nearly time for your ham, keep an eye on Spike though. image

Had a phone call from a local charity asking if I would mind teaching an English class once a week to some French ladies, they had heard through the grapevine I was a teacher, obviously delighted to help, amazed how they found me, news travels fast around here. image

Now off to do something useful & read my seed packet instructions again, got 25 packets to deal with. image

I bought dried puppy milk at the pet store but it was quiet expensive at £6.95 image I guess when I've used all that up I'll find a cheaper alternative. It's only treat milk!!!

Hello folks!  Back from visiting the Aged Ps.  Both in jolly good mood and pretty good health all things considering.  They had a birthday present for me (they didn't know they had it, but I'd been primed by Bro where to look) and wished me Happy Birthday for the other day.

I told Pa I'd seen a huge flock of Pink-footed geese on Reydon Marshes and he was really interested.  We also talked about it being the end of the game season for pheasants and I'd seen a couple of shooting parties on my journey.

Ma was very happy with her new teeth and says they're very comfortable - they certainly look very good and Pa agreed she has a lovely smile again.

Dd - what a complete PITA - poor you!!!  And Shadow looks as if he doesn't give a d*mn! image

Raw (unpasteurised) goats milk is usually totally suitable for dogs if you can find a supply.  It also freezes really well so you can buy a batch and freeze it in plastic bags. image
