It's raining in a loop here and decidedly chilly. Are we actually in the month of May? image

    Afternoon all!  image

Fingers crossed for Panda & Runny, that you get away ok & have a great time.

Round here it's mainly squirrels predating baby birds, though we do have the odd magpie, jay and sparrowhawk too...  image  I know they all have to eat, but it's hard not to take sides.

Went to buy cereal at Lidl this morning and a clematis (Arabella) fell into my basket.  image  It's shortish and late flowering (blue), so should be just the thing to grow up the clothes post, with yellow hop behind.

Then on the way home I popped into the Age Concern shop & bought two tops for my hols.  image

Wonky, you're absolutely right about re-training - I was in my early 40s when I went to horticultural college.  Definitely one of my better decisions!  image

Second hailstorm here, this time with thunder.  Just heard from Wonky that she and her father are sheltering in the garden shed with his power tools!

OH has just phoned from work - the farm shop where he works is in the grounds of the garden centre where I ordered my shed the other day.  The man says it's out of stock and the suppliers have a big backlog of orders image

Would I like an ex-display model from the GC, already assembled and painted the colour I like?  ............... For half price ...............to be delivered on Tuesday?????

    Would I heckaslike!!!!!!!!!!! imageimageimage

Not only half price and free delivery, but I think it's the one already fitted out with the hooks for tools etc image

Guess what OH and I will be doing on Monday - that's right, levelling the ground and laying the slabs - but it won't be too onerous - it's only a little shed image
