Lily - do you have an old fashioned hardware store anywhere? They'll have a clothes brush - other than that John Lewis have a good range of 'clothes care' things.
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
morning all.... Nut well found I'm even more impressed by them now!!! Well I have lo today so will be painting Xmas decorations and stringing home dried oranges and cinnamon sticks! Pointless trying to wrap pressies as the paper and tape ends up everywhere!!!! Gotta wait till she goes to bed as must get them posted.... It's just crept up on me again..... The rain is coming down in sheets so rainy day games today! And must must must get the engineer to come and install my new oven( old one blew up about 2 weeks ago) need that up and running!!
Wish we still had Woolworths, does anyone know where I can get a clothes brush!
Did you try Wilkinsons?
Managed to have a few hours in the garden this weekend. The space for the man shed has been located and pegged out, we've discovered that much to his lordships pouting and grumping a 9 x 6 metre garage just wont fit so it looks like he's got to re-think that (read sulk), the greenhouse has been patched up and cleaned out (I've discovered a dustbins worth of plastic pots - and the dustbin to put them in scattered around the garden) and the size of the pond has been decided although we're still not sure of the location.
I've had a mixed morning. I took OH to Birmingham Airport for flight to Toulouse via Paris. He's coming back tomorrow via Amsterdam (don't ask rush job- flight costs more than premium seats to Australia!) Raining heavy in Birmingham , so coming out I got behind a lorry in the wrong lane and missed the M42 and ended up on the M6 toll. That cost me £4 to get off on top of the £1 for 2 minutes drop off at the airport. When I got off I had no idea where I was , so when I found a sign for A38 North, I followed that back to Derby instead. Seeing as I was going past a decent garden centre, I felt it would be a waste of petrol not to go in, so i did. A Miscanthus sinensis gracillimus,a Misc sinensis variegatus, and a Sedum"mr Goodbud" half price, a sedum "bronco"quarter price, a packet of fritillary bulbs half price, and a Large Helleborus shooting star (full price), and a voucher used for £5 total, £28 for the lot. (and another £5 voucher to use if I go back before 24th Dec.) All in big pots, the sedums have plenty of new shoots and will probably split. The hellebore was £15 but has flowers on already and lots to come.
I got the xmas tree decorated yesterday, now I've just got to buy presents for nephew and great nieces and nephews.- and a visit to the post office for a replacement tax disc lost in the post.

Hope everyone gets their jobs done.
Dove might be having my "Spirits Bright" Deano Xmas songs on again today, doing M's tree this afternoon. Lily thanks.
Clari I love a good look around Wilko.
Think I'd better put my specs on as I've just followed the link from Nutcutlet expecting a recipe for nut scones.
Think I have food on the brain.
