Recorded Wolf Hall glad that ones who watched it enjoyed, think I'll watch two in a row after record the next one.

Meant to say BM your garden already has character, this one was boring when we got it and I just planting for privacy and now trying to add some interest, I'd swap you image

Hi Folks Happy Birthday DD.  Lovely garden  BM, very jealous of the pond.Hope you are OK Panda.  Be careful, they say everything comes in threes.

Very busy day today, lovely and sunny and not too cold so I was in the garden from 10.00 until 3.00.  We have a large column of Ivy in the centre of the garden that is draped over the trunk of an old rowan tree.  It had got a bit out of hand so we cut all that back.  Planted Nerines in pots (still have some to plant in the garden).  Then I finished up clearing all the borders everything looking much better now, though I will have to go in again tomorrow and pick up the rest of the ivy. Oh also cut down a couple of medium sized conifers ready to put my new Ornamental Cherry in.

Came inside and painted the second planter so they are ready to plant up now.

Finally, finished off by shampooing the  large run in the centre of the lounge.  So I think I am have earned a bit of a rest now.

Don't know if I'll be able to do anything in the garden tomorrow as I have a feeling I might be a bit stiff and sore after today.

  • Thanks all, of course 27 again! image

Thought all my birthday wishes had come true earlier - 2 rather dishy fireman knocked on the door smiling - unfortunately they were only doing a fundraising thing selling calendars, have to be content with the pin up rather than the real thing.  image

Having a reprise from my dryathon tonight, it is my birthday,  OH has downloaded the seriesas a treat for me - so thoughtful, didn't want a lovely romantic night out at the theatre or nice restaurant anyway. image

Think the bird I spotted may well be a green woodpecker too, thanks for the info. Also noticed there is a bird count going on here in France this week-end so don't feel quite so left out now. Details below for any other French followers.
