What a difference there is between Cornwall and Devon, I went shopping in padded winter jacket with the hood up, got soaked, went to the dentist this afternoon, got soaked again, looking nice out now, just!

Oi, guys you should all move down HERE, it's been insanely hot for days! Two days ago i sunk three beers in the pond to keep them cool, and two of them escaped from the net, then darn net broke, so in the end I had to take a dip to fish them out (it's a deep pond). The most refreshing beer I ever had, and much needed!

Today it's grey and cool, so I got a lot of stuff done, including digging the LAST patch of the kitchen garden.... huzzay, it's about 400 sq m, and I dug it all myself by hand in the last year and 1/2, so you can imagine that I feel quite chuffed! image

We had lovely weather here at the beginning of the week when Wonky was here - she took the sunshine back with her and sent it to Verdun image

Day 4 of the Nanna Duty Challenge.  I am sooooo jealous of you all being able to be in the gardenimage.  Only one more day to go and then I'll have a couple of days to do some gardening before coming back for a 2 day stint.  Other nanna will then be on duty for the rest of the week.

I love my grandchildren dearly but the rain today meant that getting out and about was not on the cards so keeping Mabel amused in doors proved a challenge.

Off for a mooch around.  Hopefully will have more interesting conversation when I'm back gardening.

    Evening all.

Partner is working late and poor puppy knows that until Daddy comes home he doesn't stand a chance of food (which is normally 19:00 an hour after he gets home) - he's wandering between his bowl and the front door poor little thing!

I hope you've all got a nice evening planned!

Eh... also here Daddy is the FEEDER that everyone looks forward to... I am the b**ch who gives medicine, rasps hooves, trims claws, pulls ticks, brushes fur, gives baths... they all love their Daddy soooo much! image

I just stick a fleece on KEF image

Just having some dinner then going back out briefly to mortar in some of the paving at the back gate which will contain the gravel on the new path. Hoping to get  bit of proper planty type gardening at the weekend but the weather's looking dire. No hillwalking either by the look of it   image

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

Evening all. No chance to really get in the garden today as it has mostly been chucking it down. I did however get my two new water butts connected this afternoon so hope it rains all night so that they fill up as they kept getting blown over before they were connected, Wanting better weather tomorrow as planning to spend all day in the garden removing and cutting up all the deadwood my tree surgeon removed from my old oak tree which he thinks will give it a new lease of life. I hope so too, as it is I have enough wood for this winters fire in my log burner and still have enough to rebuild a wooden feature I have in the garden which has slowly rotted,
