Hi folk, I'm back after another period of AWOLness!
Had a really busy time late summer/early autumn. In fact it seems I lost my marbles - not that I've got them back....the upshot of it is my poor beloved brugmansia. I managed to get bubble wrap mixed up with fleece. So the poor thing is chilling and damp under bubble wrap instead of warm cosy and safe in a fleece coat.At least it made it into the garage. Never even found time to take cuttings.
Five mins on here then bed for me. Router on a timer for 17 yr old step son issues!.
watched gb garden revival on catchup tonight - the scented garden one - so that's gonna be my new project. Itching to get out there -how long til spring????
OH took Flynn out this morning and told me it was frosty and when I peered out the back it didn't seem that bad, but upon inspection out the front window shows a heavy one.
Temp in the back garden down to -2.2C last night but it's already above freezing in the back garden now. Think it's a lot lower out the front - there's snow on the grass and the roads are gleaming with black ice.
The difference between the back and the front in cold weather is quite remarkable - the back is protected from the cold air rolling down the hillside as the gardens are terraced up the hill. All our most tender plants are in the most sheltered corner behind a trellis fence and also protected by the stacked garden furniture and the pots are bubblewrapped. Fingers here are crossed.
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

What a lot of gorgeousness in that garden for January, Panda, must be stunning in the summer.
How sad about your brugmansia Mrs. G. Is it a goner?
Nite nite everyone
Good Morning one and all
Chilly here - expect it is much worse elsewhere - even Verd might have had a frost last night
. Keep warm and safe - its slippy out there
Not too bad here in Kent, or at least my patch. Frosty but not hard.
Tender plants shivering under fleece in the cold frames...aaah well, spring has to be on its way when Australia lets us have our sunshine back
Morning all
Actually it is a hard frost here,

Stay safe on the roads y'all
It was a good move getting OH to do Flynn duties this morning
. I'd wait til April before taking over
Good morning all
