flumpy - if you have a phone and can record any of the dialogue (or even pretend to?) would that help your case? I know these things can backfire, but that's not acceptable for you. Don't let that go on any longer. I bet others will back you up if you make a stand. This is the 21st century yet some people still seem stuck in the b****y 1970s.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Flumpy, you're absolutely right to write everything down, so you've got the "evidence" for future use if necessary. Are you in a union? They can be really supportive - especially useful if your line manager isn't taking you seriously.
Enjoy your slug-squishing!
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
I used to work as an area manager for a large chain of pharmacies. That behaviour is not tolerated. Complain to your area manager as a start. If it carries on , document it and ask to institute greivance procedure. If that doesn't get you anywhere, tell them you are consulting a solicitor about sexual harrassment. I guarantee it will stop.
A long time ago in Sheffield, one of the supervisors was telling me how glad they were to have a female area manager. A previous male area manager had goosed her as she was bent over filling shelves. She decked him. She thought that put her job at risk. I took the view it was self defence, and it was his job at risk.
Any male that cant keep his hands to himself deserves to lose his job.
Thank you so so much your all very supportive, I am in a union so I think I will be giving them a ring, as for recording, we are not allowed to have our mobiles on us ho but he's always face timing his mates, he placed it in front of me once and said "what do you think of her do you thinks she's hot" I walked off he said other stuff but I don't want to put it on here, I know what to do now, thanks everyone for your support I really appreciate it : )
Years ago on a bus a man I knew to be local sat at the side of me and it was obvious he was rubbing his leg against mine, not the movement of the bus. I stood up and shouted stop touching me! Everyone looked at him and he went downstairs and got off at the next stop and for years the slime ball would cross the road rather than face me in the street.
Flumpy ((hugs)) , that's what you pay your union subs for they'll know exactly how to deal with this. So glad you're a member
KEF I had a similar thing happen to me on the Tube years ago - someone had his hand on my buttock and was squeezing it. I said very loudly - Unless you take your hand off my bum this instant I'll turn around and knee you in the groin! Everyone looked at him (just as you said) and he backed off and got off at the next stop. We have to stop being afraid to speak out. It's not us that's doing something wrong - it's him!!!
Meringue for the Pavlova has been made and is cooling in the oven; French Vanilla ice cream will be brought home by OH; raspberries from the garden are in the freezer so I'll take them out tonight. I've been outside to do some hoeing and weeding, but the wind is so strong I got grit in my eyes - back indoors now - I've prepped supper so I'll get the knitting out and watch Columbo
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Sorry to hear you are having such a rotten time at work Flumpy but pleased that you came to this thread where you have been given some great advice. Hope things improve for you very soon and also for you Wonky.
Trying to get my brain in gear for a quiz night and must remember to put my baby plants away safely as frost is forecast tonight. OH volunteered to shut the cold frame and plastic grow house last night, which he did, but left all the plants on the patio and table and just closed up an empty grow house. Good job it didn't get too cold.
