Know the feeling punkdoc although I woke up to pouring rain this morning with no breaks in it, so gardening was out of the question.
Instead, I deliberated over cycling to the gym or walking. Obviously walking takes longer but I have an umbrella so opted for that in the end.
Felt like a mule after shopping in town, walking home with several bags of items and three books I bought with Christmas tokens: The Creative Shrub Garden by Andy McIndoe, What Plant Where Encyclopedia by the RHS and Garden Notebook by Beth Chatto. Very excited to get stuck into these
LilyP you're a real stalwart. I only managed 15 minutes in the garden before I couldn't feel my fingers. Hope you've got everything you can battened down. I'm not looking forward to the forecasted winds tonight.
No sign of any snowdrops here yet but I only have a couple of small patches.
I woke this morning to hear the rain pouring, however the afternoon cleared up and the sun came out,
I took advantage of this and cleaned the GH glass. I had a look at the flower beds and found that the Crocosima ( McKenzie ) is already a couple of inches high, although the Lucifer has yet to show.
