Another night at the library for me- spent all day doing laundry and homework. I replanted some of the bigger garlic sprouts into nice big pots for them- I hope they do well
Today it was very gloomy, we've had some very gloomy sad days in the south in a row, which weirdly I actually really like! I love a nice gloomy day, but I prefer it at the weekend and when I'm not working. Perfect excuse to curl up with hot chocolate and a book!
And congratulations Matty on your little grandson! He's so tiny at 5 pounds, but he'll grow
Verdun - glad to hear your mum's feeling brighter. As for the mistake - you won't make it next time
Pdoc - glad you like your new greenhouses - they're on their way - we have a big ship here, we can load them up and send them up the coast to you http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-suffolk-30700269 . Also, re the crayfish, I think you can get a licence to trap them - you do have a BBQ in your garden don't you
Lovely news about Matty's Tiny One
Those of you in windy areas - batten those hatches down and wear hard hats!
OH said he might be late back this evening - he's an hour late and supper's ready...
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Spent the afternoon mending electric fences. The horses are wearing rugs and seem to blunder into the fences at night, perhaps the rugs stop the shock, never seems to happen in summer.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Just seen the weather forecast. We all need to batten down the hatches tomorrow, especially our Scottish friends where 100mph gusts are forecast for tomorrow night
