Crayfish? Get a pan of boiling water on. Will be nice with some mayonnaise.
Punkdoc, if you ever need help, just give us a shout. I have a chainsaw and a man who can use it. We've also got drysuits for wading if necessary. We could be with you in about 45 mins.
Im sure kef would also help out , but you might need barbed wire around your blue poppies.
You're never on your own, when youve got the forum.
My first thought as well Fidget - get a pan of water on
Had a visit from GD en route to meet her new brother. Us grandparents have been sharing her care while Mum and baby were in hospital but am pleased to announce that Little Man is now home and weighs over 5lb.
He is still so tiny though.
Nothing exciting going on here, not allowed to do much. Yesterday I did cut a rambler into a framework - A new rose with loads of soft wood. just hope i've done it correctly. Find out in the summer.Plan was to cut back 2 very tall roses before the winds are really bad and I have wind rock but I am not venturing out there today.
Off to have some beauty treatments later, well may as well look glam for my op
Theres a lot on at the moment fidget, I just typed gardening in the search engine on Sky and it came up with loads Ive downloaded some and set the others to record. I've been looking at the catalogues that keep popping through my letterbox and I must say the Sarah Raven book is looking really georgeous, especially the Dahlias, she always seems to get colour combinations just right.
Horrible here today, damp and miserable. Haven't ventured out yet, but I need to check the bird feeders and take a look in the greenhouse.
Hope all those at the salt mines have got over the initial shock of returning to work.
Pansyface, we are about 1 mile from Peak Park. At the moment I am more excited about having found it, rather than the fact it is an alien.
It is just so good that the stream is so healthy, we also have a good population of brook trout, and very briefly had water voles, until a local cat fancied a change in its diet, which made me very angry.
Fidget, thank you for the kind offer, I may well need you.
Isn't the forum great.
How can you lie there and think of England When you don't even know who's in the team
Just watching Mr T on catchup. I like the grottoes in wales. Looks like a trip to me.
Also I found that Touchwod aquilegias have been affected by downy mildew. They are probably not opening this year, and may lose the whole national collection. I've always thought of aquilegias as being pretty much disease free. I will keep a close eye on them this year. All those I donated plants to last year... they came from Touchwood seed, keep a close eye on them.
I have now decided I NEED a dandelion head.to stand among the grasses in the dog run garden. What do you think?
Sat at work and my brain is full of cloud and fluff. I can't concentrate and I have that "pre poorly poorly" sensation. I know my blood sugar can't be low: I've just scoffed a healthy lunch followed by a less than healthy chocolate brownie (okay so I lie a little FOUR chocolate brownies )
Wonder if it would be considered impolite to have a nap in the police cell?

What lovely news Alan, lets us know when baby arrives. Are you going to be a Grandad or a Granpa?

Ooh fidget I love that
. Just not keen on the price
. A heck of a lot of work goes into making them though.
Enjoy your beauty treatments Matty
. Glad your Grandson is home. He will come on in leaps and bounds now
the weather is still awful and looks as though it's set in for the next few days. The garden will forget who's meant to be in charge
