Wintersong, your dog is so cute.

Must get out in the fresh air, perhaps a walk later if the rain stops.

Dove, hope Ma and Pa are well best wishes.

Chicky, shame about box. Hope you find something deer proof.

Today is a gardening dayimage.  Plan to remove a few leaves from borders, dig up and bin diseased box (thanks for all the suggestions btw, i have made a note in case it ever comes to the need for a wholesale replacement) and maybe a bit of weeding.

Finished the chatto/lloyd letters last night (worth a readimage) - now onto MD and his French journey - first two chapters are promising, even though not a single mention of a garden yetimage.

Yeah Chicky, that Box disease is very annoying, I hope its not too painful on your plot. I have six Box balls in total and crossing my fingers I don't get the same business here.image

It's mild here too, already been out clearing away a pile of branches from summer pruning that I never got round to at the time. I didn't want to encourage bees to nest there this year since I'm planning to build a raised bed on that spot but I don't mind them choosing anywhere under my deliberate log piles. My little Flynn was happy to help remove and chew any Flynn sized sticks, he's also been practicing his skills in the *come when called department* and got 100% score. Such a good little boy, he absolutely loves rummaging around in my borders I just wish he wasn't so camouflaged on occasions!

I'll be going out in a bit again to patch up a Flynn sized hole underneath the fence we share with neighbours. Our ground is higher than theirs and dips a bit in one panel which he hasn't yet discovered but I must do it since next door own two very large dogs and may not welcome an intruder.

The only other place to Flynn proof is behind the shed which he could fit very nicely and although he's quite safe and able to get out, I'd rather not give him hiding places if I can help it image

Lovely and sunny here today and quite mild after a very blustery night. Think I might go out a do a bit in the garden, son and guest that are staying are still in bed, we were supposed to be going for a nice long walk today. Their loss, my gain image

  • For anyone who hasn't been out yet it will be a great tonic when you do....have just filled bird feeders, rescued some irises in pots which were standing in water, and tidied up some broken glass.  imageimageimage

    Working in shop this afternoon.
